Cedric is one of the first to hold the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) designation, and also the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the English speaking Caribbean. He has written about technical analysis for a Bloomberg Newsletter.

Cedric has worked at the Trinidad and Tobago Unit Trust Corporation (TTUTC), for several years. His first position was as a senior portfolio manager. In this role, he helped to managed a US$900Mn Trinidad and Tobago Dollar equivalent in Balanced Funds and Pension Portfolios.

Cedric designed, optimized and constructed Strategic Multi-Asset Allocation Portfolios using Modern Portfolio Theory for aggressive, moderate and conservative investors. Cedric led and reviewed internal equity and fixed income recommendations. He monitored traditional and alternative asset classes and strategies, to seek value on behalf of the Balanced Funds and Pension Portfolios.

From April 2020 Cedric worked at TTUTC as an Investment Management Strategist where he developed investment and corporate strategies. He also briefly administered TTUTC's 18 member investments department. His job involved reviewing strategic proposals and policy documents that outlined various approaches to increase income generated to unit-holders as well as the TTUTC. The position involved developing strategies, identifying opportunities and performing all required analyses including: financial modeling and due diligence review.

Cedric created the Balanced Funds Team Investments Blog. He was part of the team that liquidated a North American Fund. He has been a mentor on the TTUTC Mentorship Program. He represented the TTUTC at AGMs, bondholder meetings, investor briefings and site visits. He co-authored and presented at the CBTT Annual Research Review Seminar 2019 and 2022.

Education

Cedric earned a Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A) from Bayes Business School in 2017. He gained the Chartered Market Technician credential in 2014 and is also a CFA Charterholder. He has a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science from the University of the West Indies.
