Upcoming PC games release schedule - 2026 and beyond

Here is the full calendar of the most anticipated games coming to PC in 2026, to help you decide what to play next, and which days to book off work.

What games are coming out in 2026? If you're anything like us, your time is already stretched thin trying to play all the great games already out right now, and you may also have a backlog as long as War and Peace. Despite this mounting pressure, we're still excited to get into this year's upcoming new releases. The backlog's already waited this long, after all.

While we're already deep into 2026, there are still some hugely exciting games scheduled for the remainder of the year, with plenty of surprise hits bubbling under the surface - and many more to be announced. With the likes of GTA 6 and Phantom Blade Zero on the way this year, we may be just months away from playing some new games that end up as some of the best PC games of all time. Below, you'll find all the PC games coming in 2026, including action-adventure games, fighting games, RPGs, and more, so you can start to plan the rest of your gaming calendar.

Grand Theft Auto 6

We're fast approaching Q4 2026, and while we've seen a fistful of leaks, trailers, and most recently, a set of shiny new screenshots and details on its price and Ultimate Edition for what might be the most anticipated game of all time, we still know very little about it. We're going back to Vice City, and this time around, we're playing as dual protagonists Jason and Lucia. This Bonnie-and-Clyde duo will be up to no good, and raking in the dollars while they're doing it. After multiple delays, we reckon GTA 6's release will be remembered as the day the gaming world stood still.

Phantom Blade Zero

With 66 days to live, protagonist Soul doesn't have much time to tick everything off his bucket list. That might pose a problem if there weren't just one item on the agenda: vengeance. Wuxia action RPGs are all the rage right now, but Phantom Blade Zero's dour historical-fantasy aesthetic and self-styled Kungfupunk combat sets it apart from the pack. Black Myth Wukong fans should keep this at the top of their wishlist for 2026.

The Elder Scrolls 6

Bethesda finished its E3 2018 conference in the best way possible by announcing the upcoming PC game we all wanted: The Elder Scrolls VI. With only a teaser trailer of some rocky hills, ruined castles, and coastlines to go on, we're still waiting on a setting and a launch window. With Starfield now in orbit, we can assume (from Todd Howard's previous comments) that attention turns to Elder Scrolls 6 as the next Bethesda game to see the light of day. Just when that will be, though, is still a mystery.

The Witcher 4

The Witcher 4 sees Ciri take up the mantle set down by her adoptive father, cat eyes and all. Geralt will be there, too, but no doubt he'll be languishing in his well-earned retirement while Ciri's off hunting monsters… probably. While The Witcher 4 is still years away, we can't wait to experience the follow-up to one of the best RPGs of all time. Truly, no one does it like CD Projekt Red.

Soulframe

Digital Extremes steps out of Warframe's sci-fi setting for its next MMORPG, a high fantasy world that embraces magic and nature. However, all is not as idyllic as its seems. A Princess Mononoke-style corruption sweeps the land, and it's up to you to restore it. Elden Ring and Ghost of Tsushima are just a few of its influences, but make no mistake - Soulframe more than capable of standing on its own two feet. Did we mention you can summon a giant wolf?

Marvel's Blade

If you missed the glory days of Blade, back when Wesley Snipes portrayed the legendary Daywalker, you're in luck as Arkane Lyon is bringing the series back. In this single-player game, players assume the role of Eric Brooks, the half-man, half-vampire who has no problem confronting problems head-on with his sword equipped. Blade is a third-person game, marking a big change from Arkane Lyon's last games, Dishonored and Deathloop.

Kingmakers

For anyone who has seen Army of Darkness, the fantasy of travelling back in time with an arsenal of weapons likely hasn't been far from their thoughts since. Kingmakers offers that experience - tasked with changing the course of time, you're sent back to help Wales win a war it traditionally lost to save the current day. Employ guns, cars, and even helicopters against the knights of the realm, and anyone else who chooses to get in your way.

That's a lot of new games to get excited for in 2026 - and our anticipation levels are already at a high. Of course, it's tough keeping up with games as they launch, let alone being able to afford them all. If you're not willing to break the bank this year, try some of the best free PC games instead.
