Update 2.4.2 - Compatibility for enhancement packs, the latest Godot version and more

With this update, StimuWrite can now have a new addon type installed: Enhancement Packs! Enhancement Packs add content to the app like additional video backgroundsh and soundscapes. The first enhancement pack is available to download for all StimuWrite patrons, here on the patreon page. 

The other big news is that StimuWrite now runs on Godot 3.6.2 which means better performance and more stability! This is a big under the hood change, that I hope make everything run smoother.

I've been working on larger and more exciting features over the past months as well, but they aren't yet ready to be released. I might post a teaser soon, though!

Flowing Water & Red Snow - June themes now on Patreon

Flowing Water (Exclusive)

Take a dip in this calming and cooling theme for those of us who are currently experiencing Summer--or wish they were! This light theme features an animated writing panel and very slow video background.

Red Snow (Early Access)

From an upcoming theme pack based on color filtered landscapes comes: Red Snow! This theme is perfect for those of us in the Southern Hemisphere who are currently experiencing Winter--or anyone who wants to feel a unique winter vibe! This dark theme features a red filtered video background of a snowy forest, and a computer terminal-like feel. It's perfect for writers who like to write in absolute darkness.

Small patreon update: New benefits available to Writer and Wordsmith tiers!!

Members in the Writer and Wordsmith tier can now vote on The Theme of the Season! The theme of the season is a quarterly theme created from the ideas of the community. The poll will go out some time next month after I've collected enough suggestions.

Introducing... Progress Pals!

Progress Pals is an addon for the free app StimuWrite, and the latest in neurospicy/ADHD writing technology. These four fun characters act as alternatives to the progress bar! As your word count increases, each of them progresses in their own unique way, reaching their goal along with you. You can even customize their size to place them perfectly in your writing environment.

As for an android version: unfortunately, this (and an iOS version) is no longer in active development due to the many many roadblocks I came across in Godot. Likely for it to work well enough for it to be usable on those platforms I will have to build an entirely new app from the ground up.

This is something I'd love to do one day, but don't really have the bandwidth for at the moment. I'm hopeful that the patreon will continue to grow, and if it becomes a significant portion of my income, I will have the time to focus my efforts toward it.
