The penetration
of Satelindo in International Telecommunication business was marked by the operation of
008 IDD (International Direct Dialling) in August 1994 through its Business Unit,
"International". Since its operation, IDD 008 still remains as the main business
of International. To cope to the tight competition nowadays, various efforts have been
undertaken to improve the quality, reliability and variety of the services such as
strengthening its network by built multi international gateways, improved accessibility
level, standardized operation procedures, and adopted ISO 9000 quality management. In line
with the telecommunication industry change, mostly due to technology driven development,
market needs and demands, and the local telecommunication regulation, then
"International" has developed other business: Network Solution and Multimedia.
Direct sales activities are the main program
to recruit corporate clients and the wartel’s (telecommunication kiosk). But
it’s not enough; a pull strategy through an effective marketing communication program
have been conducted to build the 008 IDD brand image. Impresario 008, a popular TV
commercial infotainment program becomes major communication media to 008 IDD
customers and target market.
Retaining and maintaining customers are
essential for satelindo task as a part of our commitment in delivering excellent service.
Excellent service means reliable and customized service that is supported by responsive
customer-care services to create the bigger value to customers. Therefore we induce our
customers to perceive the image that IDD 008 is more than just IDD. to deliver the
promise, International created a community for loyal IDD 008 customer is called "Club
008", which was launched in April 2000.
Despite all of those, we fully realized that
there are still unsatisfied customers. It drives us continuously improving our ability to
serve the customers better, but that left no doubt "customer relationships remain the
key to success".
