Day two of WordCamp Europe in Kraków, Poland, is in the books. You really showed up and showed out. 🇵🇱 The opening keynote was a smash hit. Two engineers from CERN, the birthplace of the World Wide Web, explained how they're migrating more than 1,000 websites to a customized WordPress service. The title was perfectly fitting: “Two Worlds Collide.” The sessions were sensational. Our Developer Advocate, Ryan Welcher, led the brand-new 2.5-hour extended workshop covering the WordPress Interactivity API. Code Wrangler Dennis Snell led a workshop on the HTML API. The first post-7.0 WordCamp has lived up to the hype so far. And of course, our booth was bustling throughout, with demos of our latest products and the teams behind them, including WordPress.com, WooCommerce, Jetpack, and Pressable. And we’re far from finished. See you for day three tomorrow! 👉Browse the full #WCEU26 schedule: https://lnkd.in/e87DtAQs 👉Try planning with our WordCamp Agent: https://lnkd.in/evYYCU3y

We built Automattic on the belief that publishing should be open and accessible to everyone. But that mission only matters if the internet is also safe, especially for children. That's why we're proud to announce that we’ve joined the Tech Coalition—a global alliance of 60-plus companies (Meta, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Snap Inc. and more) united in the fight against online child exploitation and abuse. Through the Tech Coalition, we join forces on detection technology, cross-platform threat intelligence, and industry-wide safety standards that no single company could achieve alone. An open web needs stewards who lead on safety. That starts with us. 🔗 Read the full announcement: https://lnkd.in/gatpgqWG

23 years ago today, WordPress launched and changed what it meant to publish on the web. What started as a blogging tool became the infrastructure for nearly half of the internet. Happy birthday, WordPress!
23 looks good on WordPress. 🎂 Since May 27, 2003, WordPress has been blogging, building, publishing, shipping, translating, theming, plugin-ing, and making the web a little more wonderfully weird. Happy birthday, WordPress. 💙 #WordPress

"The ideas will always matter.” That was just one of many standout moments from digital art pioneer Robert Hodgin in conversation with our design co-lead, Pablo Honey, at last night’s dev/ai/nyc event at our NoHo Space in downtown Manhattan. 🗽 Robert's work has defined the field of generative art—from building the default iTunes visualizer for Apple, to pioneering flocking simulations and interactive installations, to co-founding Rare Volume. In their unfiltered conversation on art in the age of automation, he and Pablo traced their creative journeys from Flash and RISD to Houdini and Touch Designer. They also looked ahead to what AI means for artists, agencies, and the next generation of creatives. It was one of our most insightful applied AI events yet! 🍎Here are some of our favorite snaps 🍎Watch the full conversation: https://lnkd.in/enwB8kZt 🍎And we’ll see you at the next one in June!
