A deliciously warped wallow in misogyny, depravity and dead-eyed manipulation, Cold Fish charts the twisted alliance of two tropical-fish salesmen with baleful glee.

Cold Fish is wild, head-turning, stomach-churning stuff, and it makes a bracing addition to the overstuffed canon of serial-killer cinema.

The weary urge to resort to bloodbaths and violence, especially in its climax, demonstrates many of Sono's weaknesses. Especially his inability to be concise and understand that you don't need to go too far when you're not saying anything relevant. Cold Fish it's gruesome and unapologetic, but so what? I take nothing from the experience.
