Inspiration
I saw a gap in the legal system that does not help those at the very bottom. This is especially true for probate law. I went through a situation with the death of my mother that required probate and the information and lawyers available were way too expensive and the information was not easy to find to file petitions or represent yourself Pro Se.
What it does
Returns legal information for their probate case relevant to California and their input county.
How we built it
React Frontend, Flask Backend, Python, ToolHouse, Together AI, Pinecone, Llamaindex
Challenges we ran into
Model compatibility with certain tools, lack of knowledge of Reflex, Lack of knowledge of orchestrating multi agent work flows.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Created simple agent workflow, alot of ToolHouse tools, Together AI, Pinecone, Llamaindex. Used Arize AI's Phoenix observability tool to track queries and monitor workflow while we built it out.
What we learned
Alot of new technology
What's next for Probate Advocate AI
Developing features to provide their own forms and context. Taking this to other legal services, immigration, divorce, eviction. Reaching out to local legal clinics.
We also want to improve the technology by adding more agents and more sources of information. In the future we hope to provide this tool as a public service through multiple government agencies. To make this an effective tool for the government, Arize AI's phoenix evalution tool will be used to monitor things like accuracy, data pipelines, and hallucinations.
