Michael WINTERBOTTOM (naskita la 29-an de marto 1961 en Blackburn, Lancashire) estas brita filmreĝisoro, kun pli ol 70 filmoj. Li komencis sian karieron en Brita Televido, de kie li povis antaŭenigi sian karieron. Tri el liaj filmoj estis nomumitaj por la Ora Palmo ĉe la Festivalo de Cannes, Welcome to Sarajevo, Wonderland kaj 24 Hour Party People.[1]
Kune kun Guy Ritchie, Ken Loach, Danny Boyle kaj Mike Leigh, li estas konsiderata unu el la plej gravaj figuroj de la Nova Brita Kino.
Diplomiĝinto de Anglaj Studoj ĉe la Universitato de Oksfordo, li studis filmreĝisoradon en Bristolo kaj Londono. Li gajnis la Arĝentan Premion ĉe la Novjorka Televida Festivalo pro Love Lies Bleeding (1993). Li ankaŭ estas kunposedanto de la filmprodukta kompanio Revolution Films.[2]
Li estis membro de la ĉefa konkursa ĵurio ĉe la 51-a Internacia Filmfestivalo de Cannes (1998).
