Created by Jeremy Brock and Paul Unwin, the medical drama Casualty has been airing on the BBC since September 1986. The series focuses on the daily trials and tribulations faced by the staff of Holby City Hospital's Emergency Department and the Holby Ambulance Service.
Dylan discovers the truth about Stevie and Matty's relationship as they work to save the members of a stag party that was on board a boat that capsized. Jacob and Teddy treat a mother who has overdosed, and Siobhan tries to discover if this was an accident or deliberate. Indie confesses to Cam about Alan's death, and Faith decides to return to work.
Iain questions those closest to him, Nicole decides to make a difference, whilst Flynn and Dylan clash over how to tackle a drug crisis.
Siobhan struggles to pick up the pieces in the wake of her attack. Kim goes to great lengths to impress Stevie, while Dylan decides to tell the truth.
Dylan fights to prove his innocence, but is time his enemy? Meanwhile, Stevie makes peace with her head and her heart, and can Rash keep family ties from fraying permanently?

Sah begins to doubt an important choice, while helping Jacob treat an injured asylum seeker. Jodie is faced with the reality of her decision to donate a kidney to Max, and Iain offers to support Natalia over her woes with drug addict Faith. Is he making a mistake letting Natalia further into his life?
Assessment day is here for Rash, but he struggles to face going through with it - particularly after he is consumed with guilt when he fails to spot a potentially fatal complication until a patient goes into cardiac arrest. Faith is shocked when someone from her Narcotics Anonymous meetings is brought in for treatment, and Ngozi imposes on Rosie and Nicole's relationship.
Desperate to clear Ollie's name, Rosalene tries to persuade David to talk to a journalist she believes is sympathetic to their side of the story. But her pleas fall on deaf ears. Dylan takes a stand for his team, but Marcus may not be willing to hear what he has to say. Stevie has had all she can take of her noisy neighbours, so agrees to go flat-hunting with Faith.
Robyn stands up to Jacob and Marty and David struggle to put patient-care first. Elsewhere, Iain and Faith are forced to work closer than ever before.
New doctor Paige makes a dramatic first impression on the ED team, when she arrives at hospital handcuffed to a man on probation who is suffering a seizure. Stevie tries to persuade Faith to move on and be a bit more impulsive, and Rash encourages Ethan to consider letting Bodhi back into his life.
The staff must treat the victims of a school shooting, but the incident proves far more distressing for David when he comes to realise that Ollie may have been one of the gunmen. A patient is brought in whom Paul recognises, which drives him to leave the theatre. As he reflects on his past mistakes, it pushes him to be honest with Robyn.
When Grace takes Ollie’s life into her own hands, it threatens to ruin Connie’s relationship with her daughter forever.
As Fenisha and Ethan prepare for their big day, Matthew battles his emotions, Lev faces up to his sexuality once and for all, and Ollie’s mystery illness is finally diagnosed.
Archie takes justice into her own hands to support a wronged patient, a friend from Iain’s past helps him think about his future, and Rash struggles to cope as pressure mounts.
Violette tries to get clean in rehab and prepares to fight Ruby for custody of baby Harmony. Faith struggles to cope with Luka’s diagnosis and considers joining a support group.
With the arrival of brash troubleshooter Ciaran, Connie is shocked to discover she's no longer the boss in her own department. Jacob decides to fight to protect his mum and Iain steps up to support Jan.
Dylan's secret starts to unravel around him as more people get drawn in. Lily's jealousy of Sam threatens her budding relationship with Iain.
Technician
A spin-off of Casualty created by Tony McHale and Mal Young, Holby City ran for 23 years between 1999 and 2022. Set on the wards above Holby City ED, the series focused on the hospital's surgeons and ward nurses fighting to treat patients whilst dealing with the politics of health and their own often tumultuous personal lives.
Fletch's relationship with Evie grows strained as decisions are made about Andrei's future, and he finds himself forced to break her heart to protect his daughter. Ange and Josh try to avoid each other, but must learn to put personal issues aside when a patient's life hangs in the balance. Overwhelmed with guilt, Jeong confesses his mistake with the drugs cupboard to Dom.
Jac pushes Nicky to overcome her demons and become the doctor she knows she can be. But just how far is Nicky willing to go? Donna feels dejected when she repeatedly goes above and beyond but gets no recognition from anyone. Regina makes Madge a lucrative job offer - but it relies on her reporting back anything alarming about Jac's plans.

Stephanine "Stevie" Nash is a consultant in emergency medicine who works in the Emergency Department of Holby City Hospital. She served as Acting Clinical Lead for a brief period in 2024. Raised in Northern Ireland during the Troubles with her younger sister Emma, Stevie witnessed and was victim to sectarian violence from a young age which would affect her deep into adulthood. In an attempt to escape her more popular sister's shadow, Stevie excelled academically and outperformed most of her peers.
