These are devices where private keys are generated and stored offline, significantly reducing the risk of remote hacks. However, users are still responsible for safely storing their seed phrase and following basic security practices.

Below is a selection of popular cold crypto wallets:

Ledger Nano X

Price: $100

Features: Supports over 5,500 coins and 90 networks. Connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth through the Ledger Wallet app. Uses a Secure Element chip that keeps private keys offline and protected from hackers.

Best for: Users who want to manage their portfolio from a mobile device without compromising security.

Ledger Flex
Price: $249

Features: Secure touchscreen device with a high-grade Secure Element chip. Offers a convenient transaction confirmation interface, allowing users to clearly review all details directly on the device before approving.

Best for: Users who need fast access and clear transaction verification via a touchscreen interface.

Trezor Safe 3
Price: $59

Features: Open-source design and on-device confirmation. Supports thousands of coins and tokens, as well as staking for popular assets like SOL, ADA, and ATOM. New asset support is generally slower compared to Ledger.

Best for: Beginners looking for a simple interface. A Bitcoin-only version is also available.

Tangem
Price: $55 (for a set of two cards)

Features: NFC card-based wallet with no screen, battery, or seed phrase. Private keys are generated directly on the card’s chip. Backup is created by linking additional cards instead of using a 12/24-word recovery phrase.

Best for: Users who prefer carrying a card instead of managing a recovery phrase.

SafePal S1 Pro

Price: $90

Features: Fully air-gapped device with no Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or NFC. Uses QR codes to sign transactions. Supports over 30,000 assets. Built with a metal body and a 500 mAh battery. Backed by Binance Labs and considered an affordable fully isolated wallet.

Best for: Users who want completely offline asset storage.

Keystone 3 Pro

Price: $149

Features: QR-code transaction signing, open-source firmware, three security chips, air-gapped mode, a 4-inch touchscreen, and fingerprint authentication. Native integration with MetaMask, Phantom, and Solflare.

Best for: Active DeFi users who need seamless compatibility with decentralized finance tools and support for 5,500+ assets.

Whichever solution you choose, you can find the best exchange rates to get funds to your wallet using the BestChange aggregator.

* Prices are accurate at the time of publication.

This material does not constitute a recommendation to conduct transactions with digital assets and is provided for informational purposes only. That’s why choosing a digital wallet is not about finding a universal solution. You need to consider client geography, transaction and conversion fees, as well as how easily you can withdraw funds to a bank card or crypto wallet. Based on these different needs, we’ve put together this selection:

👩‍💻 PayPal — a widely used international wallet. Fees vary depending on country, transaction type, and currency conversion. For commercial payments, the standard fee is around 4–5%, plus additional currency conversion costs. Without a verified account, single transaction limits are capped at $4,000. After identity verification (an official document is required), limits can increase up to $60,000 per transaction.

👩‍💻 Payoneer — a popular option for freelancers and contractors working with platforms like Upwork and Fiverr. It supports direct payouts to Payoneer accounts and offers a commercial Mastercard. Withdrawal fees are approximately 1.5–3% depending on the region. Daily spending limits on the card are up to $5,000. Higher limits require identity verification.

👩‍💻 Skrill — supports global transactions and more than 40 cryptocurrencies. Currency conversion fees can reach up to 4%. Limits are set daily, weekly, or monthly depending on the deposit method. Full functionality requires identity verification.

👩‍💻 Neteller — commonly used as an international e-wallet for payments and withdrawals. Like Skrill, it supports more than 40 cryptocurrencies. Fees for deposits and withdrawals can reach up to 5% depending on the country, with limits ranging from $5,000 to $10,000.

👩‍💻 WebMoney — one of the oldest payment services, although it is not the go-to choice for clients from Western Europe or the USA. The fee is 0.8% for transfers between wallets of different types. The maximum balance for an unverified user is $300. To increase limits, identity verification is required, including passport submission and VideoID.

👩‍💻 Volet — convenient for working with cryptocurrency and multi-currency transfers. The service allows users to receive digital assets, convert them, and withdraw to fiat currencies via supported channels. Fees: 0.25% for crypto deposits and transfers; 0.25% to 4% for fiat withdrawals depending on the country. Monthly limit without identity verification is $1,000; higher limits require KYC verification.

👩‍💻 Capitalist — a payment system designed for freelancers, arbitrage teams, and businesses. It supports multiple major currencies, international payments (including SWIFT and SEPA), and cryptocurrencies. SWIFT and SEPA deposits are fee-free, while global transfers may cost up to 5%. Identity verification is mandatory and requires a national passport, international passport, ID card, or driver’s license.

This material does not constitute a recommendation to conduct transactions with digital assets and is provided for informational purposes only.

In early April 2026, a user contacted our support team regarding an incorrect exchange rate recalculation. According to their complaint, the exchange service changed the USDT–XMR rate in its own favor AFTER the user had transferred the required sum, and the resulting deduction exceeded the actual market price movement significantly.

What BestChange did

Step 1. We requested data from the exchange service for verification:

order logs and exchange rate change logs;

transaction hashes;

exchange rate lock conditions for the currency pair;

information about the service fee;

the source of the market exchange rate.

Step 2. We assessed the exchange rate change. During the review, two important facts were established:

The market rate at the moment the order was created was 357.36 USDT per 1 XMR, while the exchange service’s rate at the same time was 357.949 USDT.

This means the exchange service displayed a rate above market quotations, even though, under BestChange’s rules, the displayed rate should already include all costs associated with the upcoming exchange — including the exchange service fee, which for the XMR–USDT direction amounted to 0.4%.

2. Under the exchange service’s exchange rate lock conditions, 50 confirmations in the Monero network were required for the funds to be- credited. By the time the required number of confirmations had been received, the market rate had already changed to 354.47 USDT.

As a result, from the moment the order was created until the required number of confirmations was received, the market rate changed by 0.8%.

Step 3. We compared the actual market movement with the final recalculation applied to the order:

6801.03 USDT — the amount the user was expected to receive when creating the order;

6746.59 USDT — the correct amount taking into account the actual market movement;

6678.51 USDT — the amount the user actually received.

The discrepancy amounted to 68 USDT.

Step 4. We pointed out the inconsistency to the exchange service. After reviewing the verification results, the service paid the user the missing 68 USDT.

Step 5. We received confirmation from the user that the full amount, including the additional payment, had been received and stated that there were no further claims regarding the order.

Step 6. We took additional measures: retained information about the incident for further monitoring purposes. In addition, we explained to the service administration how exchange rates and rate-lock conditions should be displayed and applied correctly, after which we verified that the necessary corrections had been implemented. Finally, the service was warned that restrictive measures could be applied if similar situations occur again.

As of May 25, Bitcoin is trading around $77,500, according to CoinMarketCap data. Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded net outflows over the past week, with investors withdrawing approximately $1.2 billion, according to SoSoValue.

France has emerged as the most dangerous country for cryptocurrency holders. According to journalist Joe Nakamoto, roughly 70% of all attacks targeting digital asset investors occur in France. He stated that the country has already recorded 41 crypto-related kidnappings this year alone. Nakamoto attributed the rise in such crimes largely to centralized data collection under KYC procedures: the personal information stored on centralized servers has repeatedly been compromised in cyberattacks.

Binance announced plans to expand hiring as it accelerates development of its artificial intelligence initiatives. Despite widespread layoffs across the technology sector, the company has opened approximately 380 vacancies, with around 20% of new hires in 2026 dedicated to AI-related development. Against this backdrop, the exchange said it had chosen not to replace employees with AI, but instead to integrate AI-driven tools into existing workflows.

Earlier, the Catchain 2.0 upgrade made the network 10 times faster while reducing fees by 6x. For TON, this signals a shift toward becoming a global infrastructure built around Telegram.

Durov added that the next stage of ecosystem development would focus on achieving “tech superiority.”

Following the announcement, Toncoin rose by more than 25% in just 24 hours. According to CoinMarketCap, the token entered the top 20 most in-demand digital assets, with a market capitalization of around $4.9 billion.

U.S. President Donald Trump previously stated that the United States would escort vessels not involved in the conflict. Iranian authorities, however, responded that any such intervention would be viewed as a breach of the ceasefire. As of today, Bitcoin has returned to negative territory and is trading at approximately $78,700, according to CoinMarketCap.

Investment analyst Lyn Alden argues that the global financial system is under mounting pressure due to the United States’ $39 trillion national debt. In her view, the system faces a stark choice between magic or death, with Bitcoin playing a critical role due to its distinction from traditional assets. Alden suggests that the record level of debt signals a gradual erosion of purchasing power for the middle class. She noted that Bitcoin was the key to breaking out of that closed loop, suggesting a potential rise above $150,000 in the longer term.

Since October of last year, the cryptocurrency sector has undergone a pronounced downturn. Overall market capitalization has declined, and trading activity has slowed. Although recent weeks have seen signs of modest recovery, the market remains well below previous peaks, indicating weakened momentum. Binance co-CEO Richard Teng highlighted the scale of potential growth in the sector. He pointed to a broad range of markets where cryptocurrencies could see wider adoption, noting that financial services alone represent a $36 trillion opportunity, while the global payments market is valued at approximately $788 billion.
