As we start this new year, we are thrilled to announce the official launch of Dfyn as the first native decentralized application (dApp) on Router Chain. By opening up the ability for the users to trade tokens directly on the Router chain, this milestone represents a significant leap in the evolution of both Dfyn and Router. This launch marks Dfyn’s foray into the non-EVM space, and we are excited to bring the same seamless and cost-effective trading experience from EVM to Cosmos.

Dfyn’s Journey: From Vision to DeFi Leader

Dfyn has proven itself to be a trailblazer in the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem. From its early days, Dfyn has consistently innovated and expanded its offerings to become a dominant force in the DeFi space. Here’s a quick look at some of the key milestones in Dfyn’s remarkable journey:

First AMM on Polygon: Dfyn was the first AMM DEX to launch on Polygon, contributing significantly to the Polygon network’s DeFi ecosystem.

Peak TVL of $300 Million: At its peak, Dfyn reached a Total Value Locked (TVL) of $300 million, showcasing strong user trust and adoption.

Innovative Community Features: Through initiatives like vDFYN vaults, Dfyn allowed its community to directly participate in and benefit from the protocol’s success.

Over $3 Billion in Trading Volume: Till date, Dfyn has processed over $3 billion in cumulative trades, underlining its importance as a leading platform in the DeFi space.

Expansion Across Major Blockchains: Dfyn’s multi-chain approach has seen it integrate with networks such as Polygon, Fantom (now Sonic), and Arbitrum.

Tokenomics Enhancements: A key aspect of Dfyn’s sustainability has been its strategic tokenomics, including the burning of 20% of its total supply to reduce inflation.

Enabling Cross-chain Integration: By integrating Router Protocol’s widget, Dfyn enabled users to swap tokens seamlessly across multiple blockchains.

Technical Innovations: Dfyn pioneered the first on-chain limit orders with concentrated liquidity AMM. We were also amongst the first few DEXes to launch perpetual trading on Arbitrum, offering leverage and advanced trading functionalities.

A Historic Milestone: Dfyn’s Launch on Router Chain

Dfyn’s deployment on the Router chain isn’t just another integration — it’s a monumental step forward for both ecosystems. As the first native dApp on Router Chain, Dfyn is setting the stage for users to trade directly on Router chain.

Seamless Trading Begins with ROUTE/USDC Pair

Dfyn is going live on the Router chain with the ROUTE/USDC trading pair, enabling users to trade ROUTE tokens directly on the Router chain. This means, users will no longer have to incur the cost, time, and effort involved with trading tokens on Ethereum, where a simple swap can cost as much as $40–50.

Expanding Farming Opportunities with 165,000 $ROUTE in rewards

In addition to facilitating efficient trades, Dfyn is also bringing more opportunities for liquidity providers (LPs) and yield farmers. By adding liquidity to the platform, users can earn rewards in the form of LP tokens. For the first month, the Router team has graciously offered 5500 $ROUTE per day (amounting to 165,000 $ROUTE in a month) in rewards to ROUTE/USDC liquidity providers on Dfyn (on the Router chain). This farming opportunity is an attractive option for those looking to earn passive income while contributing to the health and growth of the ecosystem.

This launch represents an important chapter in Dfyn’s journey. For the first time, Dfyn is stepping into the world of non-EVM chains, showing its adaptability. By harnessing Router Chain’s robust infrastructure, Dfyn is paving the way for a more efficient and scalable DeFi experience. The future is bright for Dfyn, and we’re excited to have you on this journey with us. Stay tuned for more updates!

Website | Exchange | Twitter | Telegram | Discord |

Dfyn is super excited to announce the launch of perpetuals on the Arbitrum chain!

Now users can trade BTC, ETH, TIA, SOL, ARB, AVAX, JUP, and several other assets with up to 50x leverage. ( Hint: Use Leverage carefully)

Dfyn now allows you to speculate on the price volatility of your favorite assets and max out your chances for favorable outcomes.

Let’s dive into Dfyn Perps.

Dfyn Perps: Trade with an edge

(Dfyn, Dfyn)

At Dfyn, we have always been at the edge of innovation, building innovative market tools and empowering users. Being one of the first DEXes to support complex order types on Polygon, our research team has now come a long way. We were one of the first to build a RFQ order matching engine (now known as intents), supported by a concentrated liquidity engine.

DEXes have immense growth potential. Today, they hold 20% of the overall DeFi TVL. DEXes, in fact, from their peak at $60B+ have lost some TVL to other DeFi categories.

These primarily include liquid staking, lending, bridges, and other decentralized innovations. One of the most prominent areas is DEX derivatives, which is growing at a whopping 3x rate in less than a year.

Derivatives are already a trillion-dollar market in web2, and in web3, this can quickly scale 10x more from here, proving to be a highly lucrative strategy for exchanges and their stakeholders.

Hence, the addition of perps to our product line is a no-brainer. Adding perps is aligned with our vision to make trading easy for web3.

Liquidity, liquidity, liquidity

Okay, 1000x is far fetched, but you get the point. Acquiring and maintaining sufficient liquidity to power perpetuals is key to any perp DEX’s success. To ensure a smooth experience for us, we utilise Orderly Network to give users a CEX-like experience on their favourite assets on-chain.

Here are the core features that Dfyn boasts. Users trading on Dfyn can also accumulate Orderly Merits (points) while doing trades on Dfyn while contributing the the reDfyning.

Limit Orders

A limit order is where you can set your buy/sell orders at any price you desire. Set your order, and it will be executed automatically at that price! These orders are great to have predictable outcomes of the orders. Most of the orders placed in web2 trading desks are limit orders — spot orders are usually uncertain and get front-run a lot.

Market Orders

A market order is an instant execution; you can set a buy/sell trade at the current market price. These are great for those looking to exit their positions instantly.

Stop Market

A stop market order executes your trade as a market order once the price hits a specified level, known as the stop price. A Stop Market order guarantees the execution of your trade, but the exact order price may vary per available liquidity. These are quite relevant in volatile times.

Stop Limit

A stop limit order allows you to set a limit once a specified stop price is triggered. A Stop Limit order may not be executed if the complete liquidity for executing the trade is unavailable at the predetermined stop price.

Use Nitro to Bridge to Dfyn

Access the Nitro Bridge to send assets from 26+ chains — bridge over USDC, USDT, ETH, and any other asset of your choosing in any supported chain.

Use the Nitro widget here : https://exchange.dfyn.network/crosschainswap

Plugging into larger liquidity

Orderly Network provides the necessary infrastructure to power our perpetual DEX. Users get :

Unified orderbook and liquidity

Reliable liquidity to allow leveraged positions to be opened on a variety of assets

CEX-level performance and highly reduced latency

Self-custody of assets

Orderly Merits

What is truly remarkable about the Orderly integration is that it supports a central limit order book design. This enables Orderly to offer a low-latency experience to users.

Expect quick settlements on any order without any compromises to liquidity.

The product also protects traders against high price volatility periods by offering insurance on traders’ assets. This is especially useful when the price suddenly skews in either direction, leading to sudden loss in traders’ collaterals.

This effectively removes bad debt in the ecosystem and helps ensure sustainable leveraged trading.

What’s more, our Orderly Network partnership also enables Dfyn traders to earn Orderly Merits on every trade.

Benefits for existing DFYN Holders

To make the entire trading experience exciting for all users, we will launch reDfyn Points! After you unlock your referral, you can refer more friends to Dfyn Perps, and you earn points based on their trading volumes and referrals. Accumulate on these points, and set yourself up to unlock a percentage of kickback from fees that Dfyn has generated.

Therefore, the more you refer to traders, the higher the points you earn. Also, if you’re an existing DFYN token holder, you will already qualify for additional boosts. This is how it will work:

DFYN Boost Rewards

How to trade on Dfyn

Head to https://exchange.dfyn.network/perp

Connect your wallet. Add the desired leverage.

Place your “Long/Short” position and execute the order! Remember — Long if you expect price to go up, Short if you expect price to go down.

Ready to start?

Head to Dfyn Perps and begin collecting Orderly Merits and reDfyn Points today!

There will be various rewards that are going to be introduced in coming weeks — some will be of retrospective nature. First of all, we’d like to thank our supportive community for their patience.

Now, we’re thrilled to announce our next phase — a perpetual trading DEX on Arbitrum, powered by Orderly Network.

The best part? There are several benefits for existing DFYN token holders. Read on to learn more!

DFYN Perps: Simplifying Leveraged Trading

Screenshot of upcoming product

Our upcoming Perpetual DEX aims to revolutionise leveraged trading experience with a user-friendly interface designed for both experienced traders and beginners. This marks a significant shift from traditionally complex margin trading, making it accessible to literally everyone. Additionally, asset support and liquidity are now at top-of-the-line standards, giving our community the best on-chain experience with instant trade settlements.

We’re continuously brainstorming on expanding our offerings. Soon, you’ll be able to bring over liquidity from other chains to Arbitrum, thanks to our Nitro widget.

Understanding Perpetual Trading

The annualized daily trading volume across decentralized perpetuals amounts to $253B, which is an almost invisible number compared with the web2 derivatives market (valued at a whopping $632T in 2022 alone).

Trading volume of perpetual trading products in web3

With MoM growth of 10.6% in trading volume across decentralized perps, this number is slated to grow to $2T in about a year. This positions Dfyn to be at the receiving end of the incoming volume to its perpetual platform

Our collaboration with Orderly Network enhances our platform with high-speed, and a shared liquidity infrastructure. Orderly Network provides a CeFi-level of execution for futures with the order book trading, and significantly boosting the potential offerings for our community.

Community-Centric Innovations

We have overcome hurdles like high gas fees, liquidity provisioning, and segregation across chains. The most recent Dencun upgrade, combined with our integrations with Router Protocol and Orderly Network, has enabled developments for creating the most versatile, CEX-style experience that any trader would wish for on-chain.

DFYN Ecosystem Participation

The $DFYN token is integral to our ecosystem, allowing holders to participate in governance and earn rewards through farming activities.

Wallets with >5,000 $DFYN: 1.25x boost on DEX rewards.

Wallets with >50,000 $DFYN: 2x boost on DEX rewards.

That being said, there are also considerations for incentivizing the addresses contributing to the maximum growth and development of the upcoming platform, regardless of their DFYN holdings.

Stay Tuned

We’re committed to driving value with new innovation and making complex financial instruments accessible to all globally. As we develop our latest Perps feature, stay tuned for many more details unveiling this month. We’re excited about the future, and invite you to join us in reDfyning the DeFi landscape.

Feel free to reach us with feedback or suggestions, on Twitter, Telegram or Discord!

Without a shadow of a doubt, they have catalyzed the decentralization of the ecosystem by providing transparent, secure, and censorship-resistant peer-to-peer transactions.

These exchanges granted users full control over their assets, removing the need for intermediaries and enabling genuine financial autonomy.

However, up until now, most of these DEXs were failing to offer true decentralization by relying on certain centralized features for their core operations.

One such example is the reliance on off-chain hosted order books, exposing them to censorship, manipulation, and downtime risks. In an effort to eliminate these centralization points, Dfyn’s Arbitrum DEX is offering On Chain Limit Orders.

Before delving into the details, it’s important to grasp the concept of limit orders.

What Exactly is a Limit Order?

A limit order refers to a trade where a user specifies market conditions for executing the trade. Two primary types of limit orders are based on price constraints:

1. Buy Limit: Executed when the price (Limit Price) is less than or equal to the highest selling price.

2. Sell Limit: Executed when the price (Limit Price) is greater than or equal to the highest selling price.

Early-generation DEXs utilized Centralized Limit Order Books (CLOBs), which employed Web 2.0 services to maintain order books. These books matched buy and sell orders using real-time sorting algorithms. However, on our Arbitrum DEX we are executing this entire process on the blockchain.

Understanding On-Chain Limit Orders

On-chain limit orders are blockchain-based orders specifying the maximum or minimum price for buying or selling an asset. These orders execute automatically when the asset’s market price matches the specified price, enabling trustless trading without intermediaries.

Benefits of On-Chain Limit Orders:

Several advantages come with utilizing on-chain limit orders:

Automation:

On-chain limit orders are executed automatically when the market price reaches the specified price, allowing for seamless and efficient trading without the need for a third-party intermediary.

Assurance:

With our limit liquidity being embedded on the curve itself, when the price passes a certain price point limit order at that point is bound to get filled. Without exhausting the limit order liquidity at that price point, the market price will not go further. Hence giving an assurance of order fill.

Transparency:

Because on-chain limit orders are executed on a blockchain, they provide a transparent and verifiable record of all trades. This can help to build trust and confidence in the market.

Security:

On-chain limit orders are facilitated by smart contracts, which provide a secure and tamper-proof way of executing trades. This reduces the risk of fraud and ensures that users retain control over their assets at all times.

Cost savings:

On-chain limit orders can help users to save on trading fees, as they do not require the services of a central authority to match buyers and sellers.

Accessibility:

On-chain limit orders enable users to trade assets on decentralised exchanges, which can be accessed from anywhere in the world with an internet connection. This can provide greater access to global financial markets for users who may not have access to traditional financial services.

Superimposed Liquidity:

By combining the two AMM models of concentrated liquidity and on-chain limit orders, we have created a hybrid system with both benefits. This will provide more depth and liquidity to the market, as well as precise pricing and reduced slippage for traders. It will also help achieve higher efficiency, deeper liquidity, and increased granularity in price.

Moreover, Dfyn introduces the Limit Order Token, an NFT representing ownership of a Dfyn exchange limit order. These tokens enable tracking, asset claiming, and usage in various yield strategies.

And the best part is that you can place an On Chain Limit Order on our Arbitrum DEX today by simply following these steps.

If you’ve been following this space, then you’d be aware that Dfyn V2 is now live on the Arbitrum network. In the past few days, we’ve been releasing informational blogs to help traders understand the diverse functionalities of our DEX that they can leverage on Arbitrum to make profitable trades.

However, our Arbitrum DEX also provides multiple ways for liquidity providers to earn substantial passive income by providing liquidity to the ecosystem. In this blog, we will reveal the three major ways you can contribute to the ecosystem and earn great yields.

Become a Liquidity Provider

In a decentralized exchange (DEX), liquidity refers to the availability of buy and sell orders for a particular asset.

Now, Dfyn V 1.0 operated on the Uniswap V2 model. This meant that liquidity was distributed evenly along the x*y=k price curve, with assets reserved for all prices between 0 and infinity. Consequentially, in this structure, the majority of the liquidity was never put to use. Since, as an LP, you only earn fees when a trade happens, for you to accrue returns, you had to pick a price range that would expect to see the most volume.

This meant that, in all likelihood, you would earn fees on a relatively smaller portion of your overall investment. When you add the factor of impermanent loss, you could make a case for categorizing the prospect of becoming an LP as a risky one.

With Dfyn V 2.0, we’re removing this probabilistic nature of acquiring returns and ensuring that regardless of your price range and capital, you get significant returns.

We’re achieving this by leveraging concentrated liquidity mechanics. In this paradigm, liquidity providers (LPs) can accumulate their capital to smaller price intervals than (0, ∞), which enables individualized price curves and higher capital efficiency.

And more importantly, this structure will also mean that, as an LP, you’ll get the same liquidity depth as earlier within specified price ranges while putting far less capital at risk.

Moreover, in order to avoid liquidity fragmentation and overcome the possibility of impermanent loss, we’re providing one pool with a variable fee structure.

Become a Market Maker for RFQ Trades

As a market maker in Dfyn, you earn rewards when our Arbitrum DEX successfully executes trades. Simply put, the higher the number of successful transactions, the more opportunities you have as a market maker to earn alluring rewards.

In our attempt to increase trading volume, improve pricing, reduce volatility, and increase liquidity while increasing transparency, a few weeks ago we introduced the RFQ (Request for Quote) model for executing trades.

In this model, the user for every swap performs an RFQ quotation request, and a market maker immediately offers a quotation for the swap; the user then gets the option to accept or reject the offer. The whole process is automated, quick, and secure.

This process will increase the number of successful transactions by providing a seamless user experience. In fact, here are a few peerless benefits that the end user will receive with the RFQ model:

Increased trading volume: RFQ orders can help increase trading volume by allowing traders to negotiate large trades that would otherwise be difficult to execute on the DEX because of the lack of liquidity. This can lead to more trades being executed, which can increase revenue for market makers.

Improved pricing: RFQ orders enable market makers to negotiate prices directly with traders, allowing them to achieve better prices for their trades. This can increase revenue and improve the profitability of their trades.

Reduced volatility: RFQ orders can help to reduce volatility by allowing traders to negotiate large trades without moving the market price. This can benefit market makers by reducing the risk of large price fluctuations that can negatively impact their positions.

Increased liquidity: RFQs can increase liquidity by allowing traders to negotiate large trades that otherwise would not have been possible due to a lack of liquidity. This can also benefit market makers by increasing the trading volume and, therefore, the liquidity of the market.

Increased transparency: RFQ orders can increase transparency by enabling market makers to negotiate prices directly with traders, rather than relying on the order book. This can help market makers to better understand the market and make more informed decisions about their positions.

Become a Limit Order Maker

Traditionally, Limit order makers play an important role in a DEX. They provide liquidity to the market and help other traders execute their trades by providing the buy or sell orders that they need. They also help to increase the depth and liquidity of the order book, which can make the market more efficient and increase transparency.

When the trader successfully completes a limit order using the liquidity provided by the limit order maker, they have to pay a fee called the Basis point, or BPs. This fee will be provided to the limit order maker for allowing the trader to use their liquidity to complete the transaction.

So it is in the best interest of a limit order maker that more end users place limit orders on a DEX.

In order to attract more users to place limit orders on Dfyn V 2.0, we’ve worked tirelessly to decrease all points of friction. In a measure to achieve just that, we have introduced On Chain Limit orders on Dfyn V 2.0.

Here are some key benefits of adopting this approach:

Increased transparency: On-chain limit orders are stored on the blockchain and are visible to all participants. This increased transparency can help CLMMs to better understand the market and make more informed decisions about their positions, which can increase the effectiveness of their liquidity provision.

Reduced counterparty risk: On-chain limit orders are stored on the blockchain, which means that they are executed automatically by smart contracts. This eliminates the need for trust in a counterparty and reduces the risk of fraud or default. This can increase the security of the CLMMs assets and increase the trust in their liquidity provision.

Improved execution: On-chain limit orders are executed automatically by smart contracts, which can improve the speed and efficiency of trade execution. This can benefit CLMMs by allowing them to take advantage of market opportunities more quickly and increase their profitability.

Reduced costs: On-chain limit orders can reduce costs by eliminating the need for a centralized intermediary to match orders. This can lead to lower trading fees and improved profitability for CLMMs.

Immutable records: On-chain limit orders are stored on the blockchain, which makes them immutable. This means that once they are recorded they can’t be altered or deleted, this can benefit CLMMs as they can rely on the integrity of the order books and trades.

Collectively, these factors compound together to incentivize end users to place limit orders on Dfyn V 2.0

As we mentioned earlier, this directly helps you, the limit order maker generate more profits because when it comes to execution of limit orders on our CLMM DEX, the question becomes not of ‘IF’ but of ‘WHEN’.

We hope that this blog serves as a valuable resource to understand the various ways you can leverage Dfyn V 2.0’s improved capabilities on Arbitrum node to park your liquidity and earn disproportionate rewards.

About Dfyn

Dfyn’s vision is to become a one-stop solution for all trading-related activities. Dfyn is a fully decentralized multi-chain trading exchange that offers cross-chain swaps powered by Router Protocol and has now launched RFQ-based orders for better capital efficiency.

In this blog, we want to dive deeper into one such offering powered by a contract that makes Dfyn stand out from all other competing DEXs.

Dfyn V2’s Vault Contract

Before we understand the functionality of the contract, let’s take a step back and try to answer a broader question.

What is the core intent of anyone existing in the DeFi ecosystem?

It is to exist in a decentralized ecosystem and earn more capital. To help users accomplish this goal, our ecosystem offers The Vault Contract. It is essentially a smart contract that functions as the backbone for our DEX.

The vault contract utilizes an algorithmically-controlled liquidity pool that enables users to deposit their assets and earn yield on them.

One of the ways, you can leverage our vault contract is with a capability we call FlashLoans.

Flash loans allow users to borrow tokens for a very short period of time without having to first deposit collateral. This can provide greater flexibility when executing investment strategies or other operations that require the use of borrowed tokens.

As a liquidity provider, this increases the utility of your liquidity and can help you accrue more rewards.

Moreover, Flash loans can allow normal users to generate higher returns on their investments.

For example, a user can borrow tokens to make a trade that is expected to generate a quick profit, and then repay the loan before the price of the tokens moves against them.

These complex trading strategies will falter with traditional lending protocols, but our Vault Contract is capable of providing such offerings. This contract is integrated into our core contracts and seamlessly tracks assets and facilitates cheap and efficient swaps by maintaining the balance of each user and pool, which is stored on the blockchain via a series of event logs.

Having said this, the basic rule of thumb for any blockchain based product is that the point of greatest dependence is also the point of greatest vulnerability. We understand that the vault contract will be subject to the threat of attacks, which is why we’ve already taken security measures. The two key measures are:

The protection against re-entrancy attacks

It is a type of exploit where an attacker can repeatedly call a function in a smart contract before the first call has completed. This can allow the attacker to drain the contract of its assets.

To prevent this type of attack, the contract follows the “pull over push” pattern, where the contract first checks the necessary conditions before making any state changes or interactions. This ensures that the contract will not be vulnerable to re-entrancy attacks.

2. The prevention of admin withdrawal:

This feature ensures that there is no privileged access to the funds stored in the contract and that the funds are only accessible to the users who have deposited them, ensuring that the contract is decentralized and autonomous

Additionally, the contract has multiple layers of Access controls and rate limits that prevent any malicious or accidental misuse of the funds.

Moreover, the vault contract has also undergone two security audits and passed with flying colors. To know more about the vault contract, it’s integration with our core and peripheral contracts, and the true extent of its capabilities, feel free to check out our whitepaper.
