  • 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 Yesterday, a group of students from Godalen Upper Secondary School (Technical and Industrial Production - VG1 TIF) visited Aibel’s yard in Haugesund to get a closer look at the opportunities our industry can offer.   The students visited Yggdrasil's unmanned production platform Munin that is under construction for Aker BP at the yard. Theys met with representatives from the project team in both Aker BP and Aibel, including current apprentices. They learned about how Munin has been constructed and how Aker BP is setting a new standard for operations through Yggdrasil. The highlight of the day was the yard walk and tour on the Munin topsides, which is in the final stages of commissioning and completion before sail-away to the Yggdrasil area.    With apprenticeships just around the corner, giving young people insight into real workplaces is more important than ever. Experiences like these help bridge the gap between education and industry while inspiring the next generation of skilled workers, technicians, and engineers.   A big thank you to our Munin colleagues who helped make the day both informative and engaging for the students, and to Stavanger Oilers for making their team bus available for the trip.

  • 𝗔 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗲 Together with DeepOcean, Aker BP has carried out an advanced subsea operation at the Idun Nord field in the Skarv area, without sending key personnel offshore. The work was coordinated from the Remote Operations Center in Haugesund, while the subsea task was executed by an ROV. Step by step, we are developing new ways of working, combining technology, collaboration and operational experience to move the industry forward. • 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲. At Aker BP, we know that a safe workplace is something we build together, every day. One of the ways we work with this is by actively strengthening awareness and creating space for reflection. Because inclusion requires conscious effort in how we meet and support each other. This is something we take seriously. Because everyone should feel SAFER at Aker BP. Happy pride🏳️🌈

  • Love is in the flare. ❤️ Check out Yggdrasil’s Hugin A flare on the move. Delivered from the Aker Solutions yard in Sandnessjøen safely, with quality, and according to plan. 💪 This milestone is part of a bigger story. Since sanctioning Aker BP’s major project portfolio in 2022, we have committed to creating activity, building competence, and preparing the industry for the future. Sandnessjøen is a textbook example of exactly that. Behind this sail-away lies years of collaboration, high activity at the yard, and ripple effects. The flare will be installed on Hugin A at the Aker Solutions yard at Stord, as the final major piece of the topside puzzle. Congratulations to the team for a job well done 👏 Siemens Energy K2 Project Forwarding AS Equinor ORLEN Upstream Norway AS

  • Aker BP ASA la ut dette på nytt

Ten years ago today, we announced the merger of Det norske oljeselskap and BP Norge – forming Aker BP ASA. What followed has been an industrial partnership that stands out in Norwegian industry. From the outset, with Bob Dudley as CEO of BP, carried forward under Bernard Looney and Murray Auchincloss, and continued under today’s leadership at BP, the ambition was to build a focused, efficient and forward‑looking E&P company on the Norwegian continental shelf. Continuity has been ensured through Karl Johnny Hersvik as CEO of Aker BP and a long‑term perspective at board level. At its core, this partnership is built on mutual respect, clear ambitions and a shared commitment to continuous improvement. Decisions are taken efficiently. Competence is complementary. New technology and digital solutions are applied deliberately – to strengthen safety, reduce costs and lower emissions per barrel produced. I would like to thank BP, the employees of Aker BP, and our partners for what has been achieved over the past decade. This has been a collective effort. The results speak for themselves. 🔷 Production has increased from around 60,000 barrels per day in 2016 to close to 400,000 today – with a clear path toward around 525,000 barrels per day as Yggdrasil reaches full production. 🔷 More than USD 26 billion has been invested on the Norwegian continental shelf since the merger. 🔷 Well over NOK 200 billion has been contributed in net taxes to the community. 🔷 Strong and sustained shareholder value creation, with an average annual return of 25.6 percent and a market value increase from NOK 17 billion to around NOK 220 billion.   For Aker, dividends of NOK 22.7 billion from Aker BP over the past decade have provided a robust foundation for predictable dividends to our own shareholders – and enabled new investments across the portfolio, including real estate in Sweden and new industrial initiatives such as Nscale.   Aker BP demonstrates what can be achieved when industrial competence, capital and technology pull in the same direction. It is also a reminder of the value of long‑term partnerships and ownership.   The foundation for continued long‑term growth and value creation is stronger than ever. That matters – for Aker, for our partners, and for the years ahead. (Photo from the signing ceremony at the Aker ASA offices, ten years ago.)

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 Aker BP is entering a strategic partnership with Viridien to accelerate exploration and field development on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Together with our partnership with PXGEO, we are building an end-to-end seismic workflow, from acquisition to imaging. What does that mean in practice? PXGEO’s MantaRay OBN technology can significantly reduce survey time and cost. Viridien’s advanced imaging improves subsurface clarity. Combined, this allows us to move faster from data to decisions, improve subsurface understanding and increase capital efficiency. This is how we turn data into better decisions, faster. • The final lifting on the Munin topside at Aibel in Haugesund is a wrap. 💪The installation of the compressors, delivered by Everllence, and compressor house marks the end of several years of extensive assembly and heavy lifting at the yard — all executed safely and according to plan. The team is now in the final phase of completion and commissioning activity, preparing Munin for sail-away and installation in the Yggdrasil area. Munin is an unmanned production platform, the first of its kind on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. It represents a significant step forward in how we design and operate offshore facilities. 🚀 Congratulations on a big milestone team Munin. 👏 Nordic Crane - Norge Equinor
