Anne Kathleen Lockhart (nascida Anne Kathleen Maloney; 6 de setembro de 1953) cujo nome artístico é Anne Lockhart é uma atriz americana. Ela é mais conhecida por seu papel como Tenente Sheba na série de televisão Battlestar Galactica (1978–1979).

Vida pregressa

Anne Lockhart é a mais velha das duas filhas da atriz June Lockhart e neta dos atores Gene e Kathleen Lockhart. Lockhart frequentou a Verde Valley School em Sedona, Arizona, participando de sua primeira peça escolar no último ano.

Carreira

Televisão

Lockhart iniciou sua carreira aos quatro anos de idade, interpretando Annie no curta-metragem "T Is for Tumbleweed", que foi indicado ao Oscar na categoria Melhor Curta-Metragem em Live Action. Ela frequentemente acompanhava sua mãe ao set de Lassie, onde fez cinco aparições não creditadas entre 1959 e 1962.

Começou a fazer participações creditadas em 1965, iniciando com o episódio "Magic Locket" de Death Valley Days. Desde então, realizou mais de 60 participações especiais em séries de televisão, incluindo múltiplas aparições em produções como Knight Rider; Simon & Simon; The Fall Guy; Murder, She Wrote; e Diagnosis: Murder. Em 1979, interpretou Tenente Sheba em 11 episódios de Battlestar Galactica. Também apareceu como a policial Kathy Mulligan no episódio "The Return of the Super Cycle" de CHiPs, e no episódio "A Dream of Jennifer" de Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.

Interpretou a jovem Eunice St. Clair no filme de terror Troll (1986), enquanto sua mãe interpretou a versão mais velha da personagem. Compromissos prévios impediram sua participação, e o papel acabou sendo interpretado por Jamie Lee Curtis no longa-metragem original e em seis sequências.

Outros trabalhos

Além de suas aparições na televisão e no cinema, Lockhart também trabalhou extensivamente em comerciais de televisão e dublagem. Em 1997, começou a trabalhar com Lane Davies na criação do Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival, precursor da Kingsmen Shakespeare Company, que oferece seminários e acampamentos de verão voltados ao ensino de técnicas de atuação para crianças de 8 a 16 anos.

Nos últimos anos, atuou no teatro como Eleanor em The Lion in Winter (2010) e como Virginia em It's Only a Play (2016) no River City Repertory Theatre.

Vida pessoal

Em 24 de dezembro de 1986, Lockhart casou-se com Adam Carlyle Taylor, filho do ator de Gunsmoke Buck Taylor e de Judy Nugent. Eles tiveram dois filhos: uma filha, Carlyle, e um filho, Zane. Taylor morreu em um acidente de motocicleta em Ennis, Montana, em 4 de junho de 1994, aos 27 anos de idade.

Católica, Lockhart encontrou-se com o Papa João Paulo II em 1985, quando fora convidada a participar de uma audiência papal na Praça de São Pedro. Ela também é uma exímia amazona, tendo conquistado campeonatos em cutting, rédeas (reining), team penning e corrida de barris.
