Obulata Godson Chijindu (born 26 May 2002), known professionally as OGC or OGC Maraji, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and performing artist.
Early life and education
[change | change source]Obulata Godson Chijindu was born on 26 May 2002 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. He is from Igbo-Etche Town in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State. He attended Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, where he graduated in 2023.[1]
Career
[change | change source]OGC began his professional music career in 2021. His stage name, "OGC" is derived from the initials of his birth name, Obulata Godson Chijindu.
He has released several singles, extended plays and albums. Among his releases is the single "Blessed Boy", featuring Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck released in 2023.[2][3] OGC is musical influenced by Bnxn, Davido, Burna Boy and Wizkid.[4]
In December 2023, it released his debut studio album titled The Maraji Experience a 20 tracks project which featured, artists like Odumodublvck, Dandizzy, PsychoYP, Balloranking, Surrex, Flowtain and African China among others.[5]
Later in 2024, he released the extended play ‘‘Melodies Inna My Soul’’. The six-track project received playlist placements on digital streaming platforms and airplay on radio stations in Nigeria.
