The one comment I will make is to those claiming the public don't care about this.
The amount of people following the BBC live page alone is at Brexit/election levels.

Labour's regional comms officer in the East Midlands 🌹Recovering political reporter for Sky News/BBC/Nottingham Post and former tech hack (she/her)
- Let me take you through the journey that was Boris Johnson's speech to the CBI...
- PERSONAL NEWS KLAXON: Today is my last day at Sky News, my last day as a Westminster reporter, and, in fact, my last day as a journalist. I am excited instead to be taking up a role with the Labour Party, heading up press in my spiritual home region of the East Midlands.
- Nice to know @mrjamesob reads Sky News (and especially my articles 😉). You can read the piece he quotes on Miriam Cates being investigated here:'This is the same Commons that Nadine Dorries resigned from.' @mrjamesob questions how 'anymore damage could be done' to the House of Commons in light of the recent Miriam Cates allegations.
00:00 - Statement from Ofqual: "The Chief Regulator, Sally Collier, has decided that the next stage of the awarding process would be better overseen by new leadership. "The Ofqual Board supports Sally in this decision, and thanks her for her leadership and service."
- Can I recommend people watch the @maitlis lecture in full rather than just reading one or two lines in the papers? It wasn't a straight forward BBC bashing, far from it, but instead an interesting take on the challenges facing journalism in this political era.
- PERSONAL NEWS KLAXON: After almost six years of ALL THE NEWS at the BBC, I am heading off to pastures new after recess and joining the excellent online politics team at @SkyNews at the end of June.
- Well, now it has been formally announced inside the beeb, just a note to let you know I have been made permanent on the BBC Politics Online team... :) It really is a dream come true after competing for my place for... well... years! I'm ecstatic!
- Yet another thing I have in common with Katy Perry... what? I am sure there is more than this and living off Just Eat!one of my favorite sounds ever is the sound of a crisp new newspaper being read over breakfast for an hour or so… The popping out of it, the folding, the scribbling on the crossword… I hope it never goes out of fashion in our digital world. It is too romantic. 🗞️♥️
- Cannot praise @SecKermani enough. An amazing and brave correspondent brining us the facts from the ground of Kabul. Journalism at its very best. Stay safe.
- Some Tory MPs have expressed concern about Mark Spencer's appointment as leader of the House while he is under investigation for Islamophobia - allegations he denies:
- The Tories say they will not remove the whip from the MP accused of rape. They did remove the whip from Charlie Elphicke when he was accused of assault (now found guilty). Oh, and they removed it from Julian Lewis when he won the select committee election over Grayling.
- The legend that is @rodstewart is currently on @SkyNews offering to buy private scans for 20 people due to the hold ups in the NHS. He also says he has always supported the Tories, but it is time for them to go and let Labour take power.
- From 16th August, if you are a close contact of someone with Covid, you will no longer have to self-isolate if fully vaccinated, says @sajidjavid. Instead, they will be asked to take a PCR test asap and, isolate if they are positive. bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-5…
