Shell’s deep-water Sparta platform is designed to safely operate under pressures of up to 20,000 pounds per square inch. That is about the same as the force of a jet sitting on an area the size of a football. Shell has published its Climate and Energy Transition Lobbying Report 2025, which gives an update on our direct and indirect climate- and energy transition-related advocacy in 2025. We believe that lobbying transparency is important as it helps people to better understand our advocacy activities and encourages collaboration. We are committed to lobbying for policies that we believe are in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement and the world achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
