"The 2025 stainless standards represent a big step forward from their first editions," said Mark Holland, chair of the AISC Committee on Structural Stainless Steel for the 2021 and 2025 development cycles.

Steel fabricators, led by the Steel Fabricators of New England, gathered on June 17 to urge legislators to push Massachusetts Buy America requirements across the finish line.

"For decades, AISC has taken pride in spotlighting the country's most significant design accomplishments, from massive iconic landmarks to smaller projects driven by impressive innovation," said AISC Director of Architecture Nima Balasubramanian, AIA, NOMA.

"This is not just something we have to do. We’re passionate about this, and it’s a great learning experience that will develop us," said Florida senior Maxwell Fletcher, one of the team's project managers.
