𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐝 brings a true summer atmosphere, a rich programme of events and many beautiful moments by the lake & in the Bled’s surroundings. ☀️
Already on the first Sunday in July, the traditional 𝟐𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐢𝐤𝐥𝐢’𝐬 𝐇𝐢𝐤𝐞 invites us to begin the day in the spirit of Rikli’s principles: water, air, and sun. Once again, the hike will connect movement, nature and wellbeing.
As part of 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫 ’𝟐𝟔, the lakeside promenade will come alive every extended weekend with performances by Slovenian musicians. The highlight of the month will, of course, be the traditional 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐞, which will take place on Saturday, 18 July. The following day, Bohinjska Bela will host the traditional 𝐒𝐭. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫.
The weekend of 18 and 19 July will also be 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠, with the highlight on Sunday, when recreational cyclists will also take on 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐛 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐨𝐤𝐥𝐣𝐮𝐤𝐚. 🚴♂️
𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐬 will find plenty to enjoy as well. Children can visit puppet shows as part of 𝐏𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞, which take place in Slovenian, or set off on a family 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 Kuštrela 𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐦 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐙𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐩.
Every Sunday, you can also 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞, while mid-July will bring a touch of ice to Bled with 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐂𝐌 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. 🏒
Summer days in Bled can also be enjoyed at a slower pace — with 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐰𝐢𝐦 𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬, 𝐚 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐡𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐛𝐲 𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬. Pokljuka and the surrounding hills also offer wonderful opportunities for exploration.
𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬, make sure you are properly equipped, physically prepared, and that you check the weather forecast in advance. Choose a route that suits your abilities and do not forget to bring enough water.
