Connecting communities, creating opportunities. 🤝 In this third episode of our series with Planeterra, we spoke with Phakamile Hlazo, Regional Manager for Africa and the Middle East at Planeterra, about the importance of creating meaningful links between local communities and global travelers. Our 2025 Impact Report is live 🌍 On this World Environment Day, we're sharing a snapshot of the progress made alongside our travelers, local agency partners and communities around the world. This year's edition is intentionally shorter. Why? Because we're preparing something bigger: an updated Climate Action Plan that will be released later this year. In the meantime, here are a few highlights from 2025: • €970,874 contributed to the Better Trips Fund • 50% of our partner agencies are now sustainability certified or qualified • Launch of Indonesia360, our new destination transformation program combining AI insights, carbon measurement and local collaboration • 11 new community tourism enterprises joined our network through our partnership with Planeterra • 54,000 trees planted alongside local communities across five destinations Behind every number is a shared commitment: proving that tourism can create value for destinations while helping preserve what makes them unique. There's still a long way to go. But together, we're helping shape better travel, one partnership, one community and one journey at a time. 💚

🌱 Community tourism. Real local impact. Last month, our Account Developer Bjarne visited SEED in Mitchells Plain, Cape Town, South Africa, one of the inspiring initiatives supported through our partnership with Planeterra. At the heart of a local primary school, SEED is transforming unused urban spaces into permaculture gardens and outdoor classrooms, while helping young people develop green economy skills and sustainable livelihoods. During the visit, participants experienced the project firsthand through: 🌿 A “Scent Safari” and medicinal herbal tea tasting 🥗 A locally prepared vegetarian lunch 🤝 Meaningful exchanges with the local community One participant shared: 💬 “It taught me that we can still embrace a simpler way of living.” By welcoming travelers, SEED directly supports youth education, food security and long-term community resilience in Mitchells Plain. At Evaneos, this is the kind of tourism we believe in: travel that creates meaningful connections and positive impact far beyond the journey itself. 💚

How can sustainability become a real driver of business performance in tourism? That was the question addressed by Marion Phillips, Head of Sustainability at Evaneos, during the European Union Tourism Platform webinar on “Environmental Sustainability as a Competitiveness Strategy and Economic Lever for Tourism.” At Evaneos, we believe sustainability is not a constraint, but a lever for performance. To make this concrete, we developed the Better Trips Index (BTI), a framework that combines: • sustainable impact • traveler satisfaction • commercial performance And we use it to guide how we allocate demand across our platform. What we observe: • Agencies engaged in sustainability and certification tend to perform better across impact, customer satisfaction, and commercial results • Our own certification journey (B Corp, Travelife) has helped structure our approach, strengthen internal and partner engagement, and accelerate impact across our network When sustainability is embedded into how you measure and drive performance, it becomes a powerful engine for growth, resilience, and better travel experiences. 🤖 AI is changing the way we plan our trips At Evaneos, we conducted a study across our 4 European markets (France, Germany, Italy and Spain) to better understand the role AI is starting to play in travel planning. The topic quickly sparked strong interest across European media, including La Repubblica, Il Sole 24 Ore, Le Figaro, L'Echo touristique, El Economista @chip30. Here is what we’ve learned: - AI adoption in travel planning is growing fast across Europe. Spain leads the way, with 60% of travelers already using it. In most other European markets, however, only 3 travelers out of 4 still haven’t used AI to plan a trip. - People mainly use AI to save time. And to find inspiration faster. - Reliability, legal responsibility and data privacy are still major concerns. - Families are adopting AI the fastest, using it to reduce the mental load of organizing more complex trips. One thing is clear to us: the future of travel is hybrid. ✨ AI to inspire, explore and simplify travel planning. 🤝 Humans to bring depth, trust and personalization to every journey. As our co-CEO Aurélie Sandler puts it: “AI can help travelers go faster. 🇹🇿 Better conversations. Better journeys. Last month in Tanzania, we partnered with African Scenic Safaris, a certified Travelife local agency working with Evaneos since 2023/2024, to lead a co-development workshop at their offices in Moshi. Together with their B2C sales team, we explored one key question: 👉 How to accelerate the sales process while creating more impactful interactions with travelers? Through collective discussions and shared experiences, the team explored common blockers, shared best practices, and identified concrete solutions to strengthen traveler relationships throughout the sales journey. Three key pillars emerged: ⚡ Engage: create momentum and encourage commitment 🤝 Humanize: strengthen relationships through personalization 📋 Structure: guide conversations with clear questions and proactive steps Because behind every great journey, there’s first a great connection. 💚 A huge thank you to Anaïs M. for organizing this inspiring workshop 🙏
