We’re proud to share that the FDA has accepted our application for a combination treatment for people living with large B-cell lymphoma, an aggressive form of blood cancer. Because this disease progresses quickly, patients need timely access to effective care. This combination could expand access to care and bring treatment closer to home for patients. As the cancer care community gathered at ASCO to explore what’s next in oncology, the Community Health Equity & Workforce Exchange hosted by Vive Tu Vida En Forma brought a critical perspective to the conversation: the frontline voices helping to make the future of care more connected, trusted and accessible. This powerful convening highlighted the role Community Health Workers (CHWs) play every day. Work that far too often goes unrecognized: helping patients navigate care, building trust within communities and connecting people to critical health resources and support. It was an honor to sponsor this event and join the speakers, attendees and partners who came together to elevate CHW voices and foster meaningful dialogue around community-driven care. #ASCO2026

For 50 years, we’ve pursued breakthroughs that push the boundaries of science. We recently celebrated that legacy with a challenge that reflects who we are at our core: a community united by curiosity, collaboration, and purpose. We first set the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the largest human DNA helix in 2011. To reclaim it for our 50th anniversary, we needed 4,000 people. Instead, 4,804 of us—from every function and corner of the company—worked together to shatter that goal. 🧬🏆 Behind every individual in the helix is a mind dedicated to the discoveries of today and the breakthroughs of tomorrow. When we unite, we push boundaries. Cheers to 50 years of pushing the boundaries of science and making the impossible possible! #Genentech50 #TheOriginalBiotech #GuinnessWorldRecords #DNAHelix #CompanyCulture

As we mark 50 years of innovation and impact, our Genentech Gives Back Week continues to reflect one of our most enduring traditions: coming together in service of the communities where we live and work. This year, employees across our U.S. sites contributed more than 6.1K volunteer hours and helped raise more than $659K in combined company and employee donations, demonstrating the power of collective action. And what’s more, we had an absolute blast. Check out some snapshots that our employees took while out in the community, from making hospital care packages to sprucing up South San Francisco schools, and hear from them about what makes Gives Back Week such a meaningful tradition.

At this year’s #ADASciSessions, we heard a growing call for more connected, person-centered approaches grounded in rigorous science, collaboration and equitable access. At Genentech, we’re building on our legacy of scientific tenacity to help reimagine what whole-person care actually looks like. Because metabolic health isn't one-size-fits-all, and every single journey is completely unique. Watch as Mel Abreu shares her key takeaways from the meeting and how we’re collaborating with partners to shape a more inclusive, comprehensive metabolic ecosystem. Inspired by the lived experiences of people navigating food allergies, “Food Allergies in the City” is a four-part microdrama series that highlights how even simple plans can come with extra layers of consideration. From making the reservation, managing the logistics, seeing posts of your ex with someone else, and finally finding a restaurant experience that feels simple, the series reflects everyday realities familiar to many in the food allergy community. We’re proud to help bring these powerful, real stories of the food allergy community to life. “Food Allergies in the City” is created in partnership with FAACT, Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Connection Team and Novartis and aims to bring greater visibility to those living with food allergies. There have been advancements in the treatment of food allergies, and conversations with an allergist can help individuals and families better understand the options available. Progress in oncology is driven by people like Michelle Boyer, our Global Head of Lymphoma/CLL Clinical Development, who turn personal experience into purpose. Watch her video to learn more about what fuels her passion:
I met my former self for coffee. Her experience is why I work in oncology today. At Genentech, I’m proud to be part of a 50-year legacy committed to advancing science and improving the experience of cancer care so more people can navigate cancer with dignity, support, and hope. For my 21‑year‑old self, and for every patient walking their own path, this work matters.

Reaching more than 22 million patients to date is a significant milestone, but for us, it is also a powerful reminder of the work that remains. Hear Tony Lin share his POV from #ASCO26 as he reflects on our mission to close the gap between scientific discovery and patient delivery.

What does real progress in cancer care look like? It looks like co-creation. At #ASCO26, we were honored to be joined by Ricki Fairley from Touch, The Black Breast Cancer Alliance, along with our partners from Lung Cancer Foundation of America and SHARE Cancer Support, among others, who represent a vital network of advocacy organizations we are privileged to partner with to transform the patient experience from the ground up. Our shared dialogues reinforce an important truth: innovation only matters if it reaches patients in meaningful and equitable ways. Thank you to the advocacy community for partnering with us to help shape a more patient-centered future.
