Yesterday, the Supreme Court thankfully affirmed the 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution. Over the past months, we had the honor of partnering with the remarkable Sherrilyn Ifill in her new role as the founder and director of the "14th Amendment Center for Law and Democracy" at Howard University. Madeo designed the Center's brand identity from the ground up, along with producing its website. The two projects aimed to advance the Center's goals in acting as a hub for legal scholarship, advocacy, and strategic collaboration and convening focused on advancing democracy and equal rights. As Sherrilyn wrote, "This is not a moment to exhale and move on. This is a moment of affirmation, not celebration. Every component of the 14th Amendment remains under pressure. The work continues."

📺 News flash: Carnegie Corporation of New York turned 115 years old today, the perfect occasion for announcing our new name: the Andrew Carnegie Foundation. The story behind the original name is instructive, especially when compared to the giving among today’s ultra rich. 🚂 Go back to 1901. Andrew Carnegie sold his steel mills for nearly $500 million and vowed to give away his vast fortune—the original Giving Pledge. Ten years later, he had already established more than 20 institutions in the US and Europe and still had $150 million to give away. At age 76, Carnegie was running out of time and names. 💰 To disburse the rest of his money, Carnegie founded what was then the largest single grantmaking philanthropy ever recorded. He had exhausted the more conventional names with his other institutions, so he settled on Carnegie Corporation of New York. My essay explains the rest. https://bit.ly/4ewWNV1 📝 Thank you to The New York Times and James Barron for the coverage 💡 and to The Chronicle of Philanthropy and Alex Daniels for important context. 🙏 Special thanks to Madeo for creating our new Carnegie.org and visual identity, and to the Comms team at Carnegie. Every day, you make us look great while “doing real and permanent good in this world.” Khafra Crooks Kelly Devine Gabriel Fine Angely Montilla Alejandro Rovira Ron Sexton Daniel Kitae Um Um Catriona Whalley Bennett Wheatley 😊 My Carnegie video debut:

We’re honored to see more than 160 nonprofit organizations apply to our new In-Kind program. We created this opportunity because we know what a particularly challenging time it’s been for nonprofits. So, we hope our partnership with the selected organization makes a meaningful difference and hope to be able to support more organizations in the future. Today we’re announcing 6 finalist organizations. They applied for either an organizational rebranding or a comprehensive awareness campaign. We want to use this moment to highlight them and share their inspiring work with all of you: RETI Center is a Brooklyn-based nonprofit that empowers coastal communities through climate resilience, green job training, and ecosystem restoration rooted in equity and justice. Woodstock Film Festival nurtures filmmakers through year-round programming and an annual Oscar-qualifying festival celebrating independent cinema, diversity, and community in New York's Hudson Valley. Groundswell International strengthens rural communities worldwide by building healthy, sustainable farming and food systems from the ground up. Atlanta Film Society (IMAGE Film & Video) champions the shared power of film to connect communities and grow a thriving industry at the intersection of art, culture, and commerce. Fairtrade America connects disadvantaged producers with consumers, promoting fairer trade conditions that empower farmers and workers to build better lives. Children & Nature Network mobilizes leaders, educators, and parents to reconnect kids with the outdoors and ensure equitable access to nature for all. Next, we’re going to select one project to take on from the six finalists. Thanks again to all of the organizations who applied. Stay tuned for announcing the selected project.

We are excited to announce that we won the Webby Award for Best Website in the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging category! After a lot of hard work over the past year creating our brand new website, we are proud to accept the award, alongside our design partners at Madeo. Most importantly, thank you to all of our supporters for being part of the Glisten community. Like our new website and brand, this award is a reflection of your dedication to support LGBTQ+ youth and educators, even as we face unprecedented challenges. None of this work could be possible without you. https://lnkd.in/g-64uuG9

It's official — Glisten and Madeo are Webby Award winners 🎉 I am so happy for David Eng-Chernack and the Glisten team for getting recognized and celebrated for exemplifying 'Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging' at a time when these values are under threat. We spent two years partnering on renaming and rebranding the organization to make it more accessible and inclusive. Together, we redesigned and rebuilt the website to make it more effective for advocacy, learning, and action. Today we celebrate and then we're back to rolling up our sleeves and working on what's ahead for supporting Glisten's mission.

Our impact report with Acumen is nominated for a Webby Award 🎉 Acumen, named to Fast Company’s 2026 Most Innovative Companies list in the Not-for-Profit category, is a global force of entrepreneurs, investors and philanthropists working together to solve problems of poverty. With the belief that when people living in poverty have agency, dignity, and access to opportunity, they can build their own pathways to a better future. Acumen calls for more capital, creativity, courage and resolve in the fight against poverty which is why it was exciting to collaborate creatively on their annual report and share their impact in energy access and climate resilience. Thank you Alexandra Gordon and the rest of the Acumen team for entrusting our Madeo team with the report. The project is nominated for ‘Best Impact Report’ by The Webby Awards. Please vote for it by April 16th: https://wbby.co/57628N This marks our 3rd Webby nomination for 2025 projects. We are grateful for all the organizations that trust us with their brand, website, and reports.

The Webby Awards has nominated the brand new Glisten website 🎉 🎉 We collaborated for almost two years on renaming, rebranding, and rebuilding the organization's website in an entirely new way. Glisten (formerly GLSEN) is a national advocacy organization founded in 1990 by educators to advance justice for LGBTQ+ youth. The new website, nominated for 'Best Website for Belonging & Inclusion' prioritizes the different needs of students, educators, researchers, policymakers, and advocates. We are grateful to have David Eng-Chernack and the rest of the Glisten team as our partners on this work. Thank you for entrusting Madeo with the organization's name, brand, website, and digital communication. We are rallying for your success. Please take a moment to vote for the project before April 16th: https://wbby.co/57663N

We have a big announcement for our small agency 🤝 in support of small nonprofits. Today, we are introducing 👉 Madeo In-Kind, a new program to support a small nonprofit with a large-scale, transformational project— 100% at no cost to the organization. The past year has been exceptionally hard, particularly for smaller nonprofits working on progressive issues. That can be a progressive theater, climate action, arts, legal/immigration rights, education, you name it. As a brand and web agency with a focus on social impact, we get to partner with larger organizations and foundations every day. But, smaller nonprofits rarely have funding for the strategic branding and digital projects that could transform how they engage supporters and serve their communities. And in this very challenging moment for progressive organizations, engaging audiences and rallying support has never been more essential. That’s why we are committing ourselves to donating over a thousand hours, across months, into a single in-kind project to support an exceptional nonprofit with a project designed to amplify their impact. Organizations can apply to work with us on either: ☑️ Organizational rebrand ☑️ An awareness campaign ☑️ Digital product with social impact If you work at a nonprofit that could benefit, we’d love to hear from you. And if you know organizations doing exceptional work, please share this opportunity with them. Applications close March 26, 2026. Learn more and apply: https://lnkd.in/e4hZ2-qZ
