If your bank is pairing a sleek front-end AI with a decades-old core, you are building a bottleneck. As agentic AI scales, API loads are set to exceed 1,000x. Passive software simply won't keep up. To capture a slice of the $370B AI banking opportunity, the core must move from passive record-keeping to proactive action. ➡️ Read our deep dive on the future of AI-native banking infrastructure: https://lnkd.in/eKUAhVGx

Most banks are still designing for customers who don't know any better. Gen Z and Gen Alpha do. They're financially literate, digitally native, and they will leave the moment a bank can't keep up with them. Our CEO Fernando Zandona put it simply on the IBS Intelligence podcast: "If banks are not able to capture that, they will lose them." So what does earning their loyalty actually look like? Fernando and Robin Amlôt get into it in this episode: https://lnkd.in/eus5ZZr6

For decades, Swift has remained the standard network for international financial messaging. But the method of connecting to it has reached a turning point. As we edge closer to the November 2026 ISO 20022 mandate, your choice of connectivity model will dictate how quickly you can launch services, scale volumes, and manage risk. Rigid on-premise setups and legacy service bureaux are draining engineering hours and slowing time-to-market. The industry is mowing toward cloud-native Swift Business Connect enablers, transforming connectivity into a fully-managed service that reduces the burden of network infrastructure, security, and compliance. Our latest article outlines a strategic framework to help you balance speed against control, free up engineering talent, and ensure your setup natively handles data-rich MX messages: https://lnkd.in/eWh8Hfbt)

The UK doesn't have a shortage of places to save. It has a friction problem. Too many people leave money in low-interest current accounts, not because they don't care, but because the path to something better feels more complicated than it should. Paragon Banking Group PLC built Spring Savings App to solve exactly that. They created a simple and transparent digital experience that makes saving an easy choice. Backed by AWS Partners and built on Mambu, Spring launched and reached £800 million in deposits and tens of thousands of customers in its first eight months. This is what composable core makes possible: the ability to launch new products without legacy constraints, and iterate from day one. Watch the video below to hear from Derek Sprawling, Imogen Gurney and Karishma Jaycee as they share what it took to get here. Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/eY9c64G2 🎥 FF News

For over a century, credit unions differentiated themselves through a mission of people helping people. Today, that mission is obscured by legacy technology that delivers identical member experiences to any other bank. Breaking the commodity trap requires more than marketing. It requires reclaiming technological sovereignty through composable architecture, an ecosystem strategy and experience ownership. In our latest blog you will learn how the speedboat strategy lets credit unions innovate without disruption: https://lnkd.in/eWbdPUB2

I'm joining a panel on core banking modernisation on 23 June, representing Mambu, alongside the teams from VASS and Quantum Six. Most modernisation programmes take too long and deliver too little. The biggest mistake is trying to recreate the legacy world on a new platform. Banks replicate existing processes and customisations instead of simplifying – ending up with all the complexity and none of the benefits 🥲 We'll be getting into this more on the panel: what good looks like, where to start, and what banks can actually deliver in the first 6 to 12 months. Most banks assume core banking transformation means a massive, disruptive overhaul. It doesn't. In this video, Joud Zaumot, MSc., our Global Director of Solutions Engineering, talks about the different ways financial institutions can implement Mambu and why there's no single path to modernisation. You can start with one product. One market. One segment. Run Mambu in parallel with your existing core, prove it works, build confidence, then expand at your own pace. Banks are already doing this. They run Mambu in parallel with their legacy core, check that everything matches, and only switch off the old system once they're confident. Composable architecture gives you control over how fast or slow you move. You set the pace based on your risk appetite, your business priorities, and what makes sense for your teams. Transformation doesn't have to be a leap of faith. It can be a series of well-executed steps.
