Attendance improvement isn’t just about tracking absences. It’s about building stronger family partnerships. That’s why we’re expanding ParentSquare Attendance Plus with new capabilities that help districts move from reactive processes to proactive, relationship-driven outreach: ✔ 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀 help districts intervene sooner, support policy compliance, and reduce administrative burden. ✔ 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 helps secondary schools identify attendance patterns earlier, making it easier to support students before issues become chronic ✔ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 reduces calls, emails, and manual data entry by giving families a simple way to report absences directly in ParentSquare. A growing number of districts are already using Attendance Plus to strengthen family engagement and support more effective attendance strategies. “Since adopting ParentSquare Attendance Plus in August 2025, our attendance has gone from 92.7% to 94.9% districtwide, and every school has improved.” — Dr. Anny Iacono, Director of Special Education and Student Services, Nuview Union School District Read the full announcement: https://bit.ly/4vlAk3r #AttendanceMatters #FamilyEngagement #EdTech

Communication matters, whether you’re talking to a district leader or a room full of second graders. One of our team members, Lindsay Nespeca, visited her daughter’s classroom for Career Day and found a creative way to explain the importance of school-home communication. After sharing what she does as a Customer Success Manager, she led the class in a game of telephone using the phrase: “𝘔𝘺 𝘱𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘪𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘪 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘱𝘪𝘤𝘬𝘭𝘦𝘴.” By the time the message reached the last student, only one word remained: macaroni. It was a simple but memorable lesson: when messages get lost, misunderstood, or don’t reach the right people, communication breaks down. That’s why we’re passionate about helping districts reach every family through clear, consistent, and accessible communication. When schools and families stay connected, it creates stronger partnerships that support student success. Thank you, Lindsay, for sharing your passion for communication with the next generation—and for reminding us why this work matters every day. 💙 #SchoolCommunication #FamilyEngagement
Last week my daughter who is in second grade had career day at her school. So of course I wanted to go in and share what I do at ParentSquare as a Customer Success Manager. The kids were a wonderful audience and raised their hands and engaged with me during my entire presentation. After I got done sharing about what I do for my career I wanted to find a way for them to really understand what my job is all about. So to do this I played telephone with them. I whispered the phrase "My pet tiger likes to eat macaroni and cheese with pickles". By the time the last student heard the phrase the only thing that was relayed was "macaroni". I shared the full phrase with the class and shared a cute image of a tiger eating macaroni and cheese with pickles. They all enjoyed the game and I ended my presentation by saying how important communication is at my job. I shared how important good communication is to my school districts I work with. And told them "This is why school districts go with ParentSquare."

“The letters never arrived.” When Nuview Union School District looked closer at its attendance outreach, they discovered a critical problem: important messages weren’t reaching the families who needed them most. So they changed the channel. By moving attendance communication into a platform families already used and trusted, conversations replaced guesswork, families became more engaged, and attendance improved across every school.
