As AI continues to reshape the workplace, entry-level roles are evolving right alongside it. Our latest research with Cognizant, The AI Workforce Pulse, found that 94% of HR leaders expect AI to create new entry-level roles, with many shifting from routine task execution to working alongside and overseeing AI-powered systems. At the same time, organizations are facing a growing readiness gap. While demand for AI skills is accelerating, 60% of HR leaders say their learning and development programs cannot keep pace with the speed at which AI is transforming jobs. These findings highlight an important opportunity to help people build the skills they need to succeed in an AI-enabled workforce while ensuring organizations have the talent to adapt and grow. At #EWF26, Abigail Batty reflects on how innovation can better support children with special educational needs, and this not just in principle, but in the reality of everyday learning. What arose from this incredibly insightful forum is that progress isn’t only about what technology can do, but about who it works for and how it helps every learner feel included, understood and able to succeed. That is why what we build must be trusted and focused on real outcomes and designed with every learner in mind, especially those who need more or different kinds of support. This is when innovation starts to make a meaningful difference. #EWF26 #AIInEducation #FutureOfAssessment Education World Forum Times Higher Education

Sometimes the clearest sign of progress is a partnership that keeps growing. At #EWF26, Jane Baker shared one of her standout moments from the week: meeting the Ministry of Education and delegation from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. During the forum, Pearson was able to sign a renewal contract to deliver BTEC across more than 300 state schools in Jordan, building on work that began three years ago. That work is helping tens of thousands of children and young peple gain the skills they need for a brighter future. Jane also reflected on the way Pearson teams came together at EWF, working as one to show how learning can improve lives. #SkillsForTheFuture #BTEC Education World Forum Times Higher Education

How do we make sure innovation in education keeps earning trust? At the Education World Forum, Tony Lteif spoke about conversations on AI in education, workforce readiness, digital transformation, assessment and innovation. Tony’s perspective was clear: the opportunity ahead is enormous, but so is the shared responsibility across governments, institutions, educators and industry leaders to keep innovation trusted, inclusive and outcome driven. That balance between ambition and responsibility is exactly what makes these conversations so important. #EWF26 #FutureOfAssessment #AIInEducation Education World Forum Times Higher Education

Some of the most valuable conversations at the Education World Forum are the ones that continue beyond a single year. At #EWF26, David McVeigh reflected on how this year’s discussions brought into focus the role Pearson can play in helping jurisdictions and countries work through shared challenges, particularly around assessment. One example was a round table with the Philippines Department of Education, building on a conversation first started at EWF last year. It’s a powerful reminder that progress often grows through continued dialogue, shared priorities and a commitment to returning to the table. #FutureOfAssessment #AIInEducation Education World Forum Times Higher Education
