Compared with the most recent Disney animated features, "Space Jam" is, at times, a hoot, especially when it has fun with Michael's less-than-stellar baseball career and the way his fellow players were starstruck. [15 Nov 1996, p.A]

Space Jam is a high-energy comedy that mixes live action, animation, cornball storytelling and rowdy humor into an energetic, gee-whiz confection that will probably delight just about everybody. [15 Nov 1996, p.20]

Great movie great actors great Looney tunes even great product placement. Everything about this movie works even the song I believe I could fly.
I mean it is unavoidable given all the crimes R Kelly has been convicted of.
But it doesn't take you out of the movie like you think and honestly I think this movie had a lot to do more with being about Michael Jordan than the Looney tunes believe it or not.
I mean I care about Michael Jordan not only as an actor but also as a character in this movie.
I don't give one f about LeBron James who is nothing but second fiddle honestly too Michael Jordan and always will be.

Muito bom filme inscrever para a época com uns dos melhores jogadores de basquete do mundo também conheci como Air jordam

Cute, rambunctious, generally amusing rather than outright funny, this clever mix of live action, highlighted by the unequaled skills of basketball superstar Michael Jordan, and animated Looney Tunes antics will be a must-see for kids.

Brash, noisy and colourful, Space Jam should appeal to young basketball and cartoon fans alike.

In the rap-music, slam-dunk, hysterical tumult of visual clutter that makes up most of Space Jam, the traditional Warner Bros. 'toons get scant attention. In this marriage of corporate logos, the manic little characters serve simply as more names to be dropped. What Space Jam really lacks is respect for an irreverent tradition. [15 Nov 1996, p.C4]

Space Jam is nothing if not a product made by men who gauge a film's success by how many soft toys it spawns.

The set plays are transparently simple, the execution sloppy and the ending signposted days in advance. Visually, it's a mess: the attempts to blend 2- and 3-D animation with live-action and computer-generated images produce scenes that are fuzzier than the storyline.

All of the classic cartoon characters to represent a basketball league was funny. The plot points where on the nose and too the tee. All of the main real actors where genuine and some were there to be funny. The movie is good for everyone, even if basketball isn't your thing, it'll still be a good watch either alone or with your kids. Space Jam gets a 10/10

The rhythmic machinery of a hybrid rebellion: A 3.0-star vivid but familiar drift through high-tension composite grit.2001(3.0)I watched Space Jam (1996) in 2001, and it remains a vivid 3.0-star record in my archive—a raw revelation of how a sensational marketing powerhouse can dismantle the stagnant boundaries between live-action and animation. This experience **** the fourth wall of the sports genre by infusing Michael Jordan’s raw, legendary precision and Bugs Bunny’s sensational, bbo-jjak cartoon wit into a narrative rhythm that turned a pathetic Monstars invasion into a vivid act of rhythmic rebellion. The narrative rhythm was far from stagnant in its visual ambition; instead, it offered a sensational acting power show where the raw, high-tension dunk contests and the hororong mix of human actors and hand-drawn ink left me in a state of joy at its visceral soul. While the production leveraged the vivid, sensational "I Believe I Can Fly" energy and the raw, chewy charisma of the Looney Tunes crew, the overall soul felt stagnant, as the narrative rhythm followed a pathetic cycle of predictable underdog tropes that lacked the high-tension impact of a 5.0-star masterpiece like Anastasia. The 95% preservation of my memory is dominated by the rhythmic, raw beauty of the "Secret Stuff" sequence and the vivid but pathetic struggle of the talent-robbed NBA stars, creating a journey that felt more like a sensational Sunday morning TV artifact than a permanent scar on my soul. Unlike the vivid soul of 101 Dalmatians (2000) or the raw brilliance of Tarzan, this encounter possessed a rhythm that was too stagnant and "commercial" to achieve a higher rank. It stands in my 2001 record as a powerful 3.0-star testament to the raw power of the "Animation Garden" era—a high-tension encounter with the vivid rhythm of the Tune Squad that remains a chewy, if familiar, artifact of my childhood journey.

Pure 90s cheese. Nothing extravagant, but it is fun enough to pass the time.

This does not aged well. It has good animation, but the humor, the story, and the new looney tune character just didn't work. This feels like a product for little kids.

Eye roll. Why did this have to happen? Basketball is entertaining! The Looney Tunes are fun! There is no correlation between the two! I never laughed and groaned basically the entire time.
