Published in 2019, Fading Memories is a collection of demos and unused tracks from Sayonara Wild Hearts. The tracks were composed by Jonathan Eng and Daniel Olsén in Göteborg and San Francisco between 2015 and 2019. The collection provides unique insight into the development of the game and what we finally came to know as the official Sayonara Wild Hearts soundtrack.

It was available as a limited-run cassette through Annapurna Interactive’s store. I bought the cassette shortly after its release, recorded a complete playback, and waited to see if the album would be released digitally in an official capacity. Unfortunately, that did not come to pass, so I uploaded it as a YouTube video in 2020.

Initial Vector (Audio CD)

Initial Vector (Audio CD)#

Initial Vector continues the story of Joanna Dark following events in Perfect Dark Zero. As a companion to the physical book, Microsoft and Tor Books produced an unabridged, eight disc audio CD. It was narrated by Orlagh Cassidy and Scott Sowers. Notably, the marketing for Initial Vector mentions it was intended to be part of a three book series. However, ultimately, only two books would be released: Initial Vector and Second Front, with Initial Vector being the only book of the two to get an audio CD.

Gameplay Footage

Gameplay Footage#

After Twisted Metal 2, David Jaffe and his team began work on Dark Guns, a shooter for the PlayStation 1. It had a troubled development history that ultimately led to its cancellation in 1999.

Following the closure of Bartlet Jones Supernatural Detective Agency, I had the opportunity to capture gameplay footage of Dark Guns. The video is a complete playthrough of the last build of the game prior to its cancellation.

Radio Drama

Radio Drama#

E.X. Troopers is a spinoff game of the Lost Planet series developed by Capcom and released exclusively in Japan for the PlayStation 3 and Nintendo 3DS. On January 30th, 2013, Capcom released a radio drama based on E.X. Troopers featuring characters from the game. It has not been made available for purchase outside of Japan.

As a fan of E.X. Troopers, I imported a copy from Japan in 2021, ripped the contents, and uploaded it as a video on YouTube. In the future, I would like to commission an English localization of the radio drama and provide the English text as subtitles for the YouTube video.

Perfect Dark Zero added
