I used to work for an open software company (<a href="http://redhat.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Red Hat, Inc.</a>), but I also hack on code for fun -- and have for years.  I also mentor/teach/present and write technical books about software. My software is probably not going to save the world -- but I do hope it'll make it a better place, and prove useful to those who are saving the world.
