While League of Legends will always be the premier MOBA, HoTS took all of my favorite games and smushed them into one, perfect place. It's a game that I have far too many fond memories of; I used to be an absolute beast on Sylvanas Windrunner, but could happily spend games healing up my squadmates as Diablo's Auriel or WoW's Alexstrasza. But HotS is effectively in stasis at the moment, kept alive with the odd balance patch and update, but nothing more. High PC RAM prices really are here to stay, it seems, as Lenovo is the latest PC maker to admit that it could be years before the AI data center-induced rise in RAM and SSD prices begins to fall. In a recent presentation at ISC 2026, the company stated that RAM prices "will never be like last year again," and while the delivery of this line was made in a somewhat joking manner, the underlying message was clear. Elaborating on when the best RAM might become more affordable again, Lenovo referred to a "new normal" that could appear from 2030 onwards, although even this is likely to see higher prices than in 2024 and 2025.

In one example, a 2TB Steam Machine with a controller is listed for $2,899.99, just over double its official $1,428 price. With many considering the Steam Machine price to already be far higher than they hoped, these listings put further strain buyers that can't wait for the next restock.

We weren't really supposed to know yet, but Riot Games had a bit of a slip-up and accidentally leaked a significant enough chunk of it onto the PBE that it was impossible to keep pretending. Instead, the developer did the best thing it possibly could: embrace the meme, and drop an incredible LoL Classic update video featuring Executive Producer Paul "Pabro' Bellezza and Head of League Studio Andrei 'Meddler' van Roon. "I mean, everyone else seemed to be announcing it," van Roon jokes, "so we figured we'd get in on the action."

In a parallel universe where GTA 6 came out in late 2025 as initially planned, there's a chance we would be playing it on PC right now. That's obviously a slightly pointless hypothetical; Rockstar Games decided there was more work to be done to get the biggest-budget game ever made up to the level of polish it wanted to achieve, and I'll take a delay over developer crunch every single time. It's built by 1047 Games, the team behind Splitgate, which has immediately put it on my radar. The new multiplayer FPS is now in early access, with the studio keeping microtransactions and battle passes out of the equation to focus on "building with you, the community" in these starting stages.

PC RAM prices could stay this high for years, hints memory maker Micron's latest earnings

Micron has just revealed its latest earnings, reporting record revenue and profits, along with some very long-lasting deals that lock in prices for memory for years to come. While Micron shuttered its Crucial consumer RAM brand already, its allocation of memory production to data centers for years to come, and the guarantee of high prices for those chips, suggest PC RAM could remain expensive and hard to come by for a long time. In its Q3 earnings report, Micron revealed it had signed 16 "strategic customer agreements" (SCAs), which are long-term agreements with customers that lock in floor and ceiling prices for its memory, in this case for five years at a time. The overall production capacity of this could mean the best PC RAM remains at least as expensive as it currently is for years to come.
