    An All-Premium Widebody Jet?

Operating an aircraft configured completely with a premium cabin is rare but not unheard of. An existing example that can be used is that of the French operator, La Compagnie, or another carrier known as Beond. Both carriers operate a small fleet of Airbus A320 family aircraft, with these aircraft configured in an all-business class layout in either cases. Now, historically, it is worth noting that this business model of having a small fleet of narrowbody aircraft configured in an all-business-class configuration has not worked too well. That being said, in recent years, there has been a trend of some major airlines configuring their aircraft in a premium-heavy configuration, including on the widebody jets. This includes the likes of United Airlines' new Dreamliner jets with increased capacity within the business cabin. However, the only major airline operating flights without an economy cabin is Singapore Airlines, on board its bespoke-designed Airbus A350-900ULR, which is deployed

Which Other Airlines Would You Like To See Serving London Heathrow Airport?

Simple Flying recently published an article discussing some of the new or returning airlines at London Heathrow Airport (LHR) in 2026. Europe's busiest airport is well known for being exceptionally slot-constrained, yet ITA Airways, Pakistan International Airlines, Alaska Airlines, BeOnd, and Xiamen Airlines now all serve or will serve the hub this year. With this in mind, which other airlines would you like to see flying there? Personally, I think that a direct Manila service from Philippine Airlines would be great. The Southeast Asian airline has recently announced that it will join oneworld, and with Heathrow being the primary hub of oneworld founder British Airways, now seems a better time than ever to start flights. Other than that, I would also like to see Iran Air and Garuda Indonesia Airways fly to Heathrow again, but these seem less likely. Which other airlines would you like to see serving Heathrow? Share your thoughts in the comments! This is user-generated content. The vi

Will Emirates Ever Fly Narrowbody Aircraft Again?

Dubai-based Emirates has historically been a big fan of widebody aircraft with high capacity, which has served them really well, allowing them to create a long-haul global network and transforming their home, Dubai International Airport (DXB), into a major hub. That being said, its competitors in the region and around the world do operate (and continue to invest in) a mixed fleet of narrowbody and widebody aircraft, allowing the airlines to achieve better economics on short-haul and regional routes. While I recognize the role flydubai plays in collaboration with Emirates, the two carriers are still two distinct brands with different public perceptions. I personally do not see Emirates diversifying its fleet with narrowbody aircraft, because this would add to the fleet complexity, affecting the carrier's operational and management costs, due to the economies of scale being affected. What are your thoughts on this matter? Should Emirates order narrowbody aircraft? If so, which aircraf

Will Riyadh Air Disrupt The Balance Of The Middle Eastern Market?

Whenever an airline enters a market, there will be an impact felt by all operators within the market. But when a carrier is as ambitious in growth as Riyadh Air, which just officially commenced operations, the impact is bound to be felt. Especially, considering the market it was born into is the highly competitive Middle Eastern market. I personally think Riyadh Air will have a strong foundation and customer base, especially because Saudi Arabia is one of the very few nations in the region that has a domestic market. The carrier has also invested in its future fleet with substation aircraft orders, while also forming partnerships with other global airlines. So I can see the carrier growing into an important player within the region, but I do not see the carrier severely upsetting the balance within the Middle East market. What are your thoughts on the matter? Do you see the carrier becoming a super-connector, larger than the existing carriers in the Middle East?

Back From The Boneyard: How Old 747s Became Worth Millions Again

For years, the Boeing 747 appeared to be heading toward a quiet and predictable retirement, with airlines around the world rapidly replacing the iconic quadjet with newer twin-engine aircraft that burned less fuel and required fewer crew members to operate on long-haul routes. So in this video, we take a look at how retired Boeing 747s unexpectedly became some of the most sought-after freighters in America, why cargo airlines began pulling aircraft back out of desert storage, and why the legendary jumbo jet may still have a long future ahead of it despite the end of its passenger career.
