The love of learning and literature @PeteButtigieg displays aren't "meaningless erudition." They're signals about his character, curiosity, and pursuit of meaning. I hate seeing this kind of anti-intellectualism in the @nytimes, of all places.
press terminology note: Trump can't "declare victory" or "claim victory" any more than he can declare himself emperor. He can only predict victory. It's not his decision, so don't amplify his error.
