Nona Aisha Gaye is an American singer, former fashion model, and retired actress. She is the daughter of Motown singer Marvin Gaye. ^[1]

Nona was born in 1974. She is the daughter of Marvin Gaye and Janis Hunter. On her maternal line, she is the granddaughter of jazz musician Slim Gaillard. She was born in Washington, D.C., and she spent most of her early life in Redondo Beach, California.

Professionally, she was a singer, model, and actress. For three years, she dated and musically collaborated with singer-songwriter Prince. As an actress, she played the role of Zee in the 2003 science-fiction films The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions.

In 2004, she voiced and did the motion capture of the unnamed Hero Girl in the Christmas film, The Polar Express. ^[2] The film was the first all-digital capture film and it has become a Christmas classic film. ^[3] As a child, she had the book “The Polar Express” read to her many times and thought it was a wonderful book. In her YouTube video Nona Gaye talks "Polar Express", she indicated that she never thought she would grow up and bring the book to life on screen. For the animated character of Hero Girl, she submitted a picture of herself as an 8-year-old. When she saw her character in the movie, she was amazed at how much Hero Girl looked like her as a child.
