- Caltech supports the action taken by Harvard and MIT to seek a restraining order to halt the immediate implementation of the rule—the Institute is filing an amicus brief in support of the lawsuit. We are also exploring other potential courses of action the Institute might take.

- A 7.1 magnitude quake occurred at approximately 8:19 pm in the Ridgecrest area of Southern California. The quake was felt on the Caltech campus, however no damage and no injuries have been observed or reported. We are working with local agencies and monitoring the situation.
