I have yet to meet a woman whose life truly improved after marriage. She won’t say she’s unhappy, but you can see it in the way her light fades, the way she barely exists outside of work, housechores, and childcare, all of which she mostly shoulders alone.

My flight to Toronto was on Tuesday 13th September, but even at 1:30pm on that date, I didn’t have my visa stamped or passport returned yet…plus I was in Abuja but scheduled to fly from Lagos. One day, I’ll share the story of the many miracles that made that trip possible.
