I don't seem to have updated these since July, which although I can't quite believe, there's not a lot I can do about it now...
Anyway here they are today, as I don't think I'll have a chance to do them next weekend, what with NaNoWriMo and promos and stuff...

There have been chats about this in terms of what a session is, we usually talk about a session of fitness in terms of one hour (as practised in gyms and the like). If we are counting my three hour bike rides as three sessions then the bottom shiny bar applies. If however we are looking at the strict one session = one session rule, regardless of how long you are out for, then the top shiny bar applies.
This is still do-able although Australia and preparation for the book just before put a big dent in it all.

. . . but I thought I would cross post about another community I'll be spending a lot of time in during the month of October. Some of you already know about this, but there are a handful who don't. If you're an artist who is looking for a community to support your goal of creating art on a daily basis, you *know* you want to be a MOFO!
artsomofo !
I know, I've been talking about this a lot lately, but I haven't really done a "you should join in with us" type of post for everyone to see yet. Or have I? I can't remember. That doesn't matter. JOIN!
Why should you join? Simple:
artsomofo is to create art everday during the month of October (similar to the NaNoWriMo challenge). For me, it's a good opportunity to get myself into what I really want to do - be creative daily. I need this in my life and, since 2005, this challenge and the community members have been helping me get there bit by bit.
So, please consider joining us. And, if you do join us, please consider passing along the word about what we're doing and why others should consider joining us. It's going to be a GREAT year! I'm in the process of creating my mofo-madness list and will post it shortly. I'm also going to start prepping for my daily mofo'ing and will post pictures of that shortly.
What? A MoFo? What are you talking about?

I haven't been keeping track but I feel like I've slightly improved myself this year so far. I have been reading more, and even though I'm not counting calories or taking drastic measures I have started to eat a little healthier.
One area I lack is the exercising. I just can't find the time to keep a definate gym schedule, and when I find free time I always find I'd rather spend it taking a nap or something similar.
Well, I'm starting my first college classes tomorrow. I'm not going away my first year, but I will be starting at a community college. I'm pretty excited, but also nervous. I screwed around in high school so I'm determined to succeed and do well in college. Hopefully this motivation stays consistant for the next 6 years...I'm aiming for a Masters in Psychology...but then I'll hopefully get into Med school, which adds another...2-4 yrs? Oh well, it'll be worth it.
I'll try and keep a track record this summer, maybe I'll get to the gym more.
Cheers!

Okay, I need to completely re-think my 2007 goals. In the last two weeks I've discovered that my husband's job outlook is not quite as rosy as we'd assumed because the certiifcation that he was applying for changed their requirements and he's now no longer eligible without more education. I also found out that we're expecting our second baby in December 2007 -- which is a HUGE suprize considering that we required medical help to get pregnant with our first.
My original plan was to do five things; focus on positive thinking, move back to Oregon, get rid of random crap, take care of my body and take better control of our finances. I still want to do most of those things, but right now our family is in huge flux, and I need to re-focus and re-prioritize each of these goals.
So.
1. Revel in the power of positive thinking.
This is HARD right now, because it feels like everything is falling down around our ears, but it's important for the same reason. I'm really focusing on thinking about prosperity -- that there will be enough money, that the job situation will work out, and that well be able to provide a reasonable maternity leave. I'm also really focusing on my feelings that this baby is absolutely meant to be and that because of that everything will work out. I'm trying to affirm that every day, but it's hard. I think I need a physical reminder of what I'm creating -- so I should find an appropriate one.
2. Move back to Oregon
Despite the fact that we really WANT to do this, it's looking less and less likely -- the money that we had earmarked for moving will now need to pay for birth costs and maternity leave. It's still a goal, but it's likely a goal that will need to be pushed into 2008. Instead, I'm going to focus on getting out of our current house and into something that's more appropriate for our growing family, which is going to take some doing of it's own!
3. The Crap Must DIE!
It's going to be a lot harder to reduce the crap in our house by 50% if I can give the absolute mountain of baby gear I've been piling up to someone else, but I'm still going to do it!
4. Take better care of my body
I think I'm going to table this goal. Not because I'm not doing it anymore, because I'm going to be taking better care of myself than ever, but because now instead of eating better and losing weight, I need to be focusing on a healthy pregnancy and a happy baby.
5. Don't Fear the Finances!
At this point, this goal is an absolute faliure... I am doing nothing BUT fearing the finances! Which means I need to focus on it more. My goal is going to be to end the year with enough money in the bank to pay for this baby's birth and a reasonable maternity leave, as well as some plan to handle daycare when I return to work or to work from home. Considering that I still don't have a job, and my husband may or may not be returning to school, this is going to be a challenge. First step needs to be consolidating my graduate loans to reduce interest and payments.

Hi all! I disappeared for a while as life has been happening too fast for me. I had a lot of goals about how I wanted to feel, spend my time, and goals I wanted to work on. It turned out that in order for me to have a healthy life, I'm having to make a couple of huge changes.
Lets see:
I was hoping that I could save up money for a new car. Well my other car blew its engine twice, then I decided I could afford a new car (after waiting 9 weeks to have it fixed) um yeah. The old car never was right again.
Job rearranged itself and I am either moving to CA or looking for a new job. Woah.
My marriage is over. My husband cannot be trusted as he is so deppressed and desperate and acting erratic. I catch him in lies and he makes promises and then doesn't follow through. He's being codependent and I just can't cope with him, or pay for his expenses any longer.
So, in order to show myself that I really care about me, I'm doing what's best for both of us and making him deal with his own consequences and responsibilities. Time for me to move on. After I wrap that up, then I'll be able to continue my art and financial goals.
