Our manifesto:
alcorexic, unlike the so well known to all of us AA, is not about self-pity. It's here to unite alcoholics, anorexics and alcoholic anorexics in an effort to provide them with a warm, welcoming home where they can embrace and celebrate their greatest passions in life, alcohol and anorexia. Posts regarding alcohol and anorexia in any direct or indirect way are more than welcome, but seeing how the aim of alcorexic is to be the best community on LJ, we are also interested in the cultural enrichment of our members. Seen a movie, read a book or heard an album worth mentioning lately? Your fellow alcoholic anorexics thirst for knowledge.
FAQ:
1) I am not alcoholic, nor anorexic. Am I still qualified to join?
Yes. The community mods are just a couple of pretentious geeks anyway. We're only having fun and don't take ourselves too seriously. But do expect some sort of bitchy, elitist type of member selection once we grow popular.
2) I don't get your manifesto. What can I write about?
Booze and not eating, obviously. Also, movies, books, travelling, art, music. Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens. Brown paper packages tied up with string. Wild geese that fly with moon on their wings. Cool things. Sex. Hair straighteners. Pez dispensers.
3) What will get me banned?
Nothing. We are lovely.
4) I have a complaint. Who runs this thing?
