After more than 4 years, amy_contest is closing.
I can't thank you all enough for the time and effort that you have put towards this community. I have no idea of any of you have been with me (and my various co-mods!) from the beginning but I'm thankful for any time that you've put in - even if all you did was vote!

I'm sad to shut things down, but at the same time I don't want to beat a dead horse. Participation has been dwindling for awhile and I understand. We're all busy, there are no new pictures coming out and it's tough to get inspired with photos you've been looking at for years. Is this closure for good? Who knows. I'm going to leave everything up - all the old posts, old winners - just in case.

I'm sure we're all aware that things have been cooling down in the Evanescence communities. And emeraldsolitude and I really DON'T want to close here, so you've got to help us out! This means, promote, promote, promote!

I know tons of you have your own icon community or journal, so post something there! Post on your own journal, you never know who might show up!
