Is your significant other in the military? If so, this is the community for you!

The name, army_girlfriend, suggests that this community is strictly for Army girlfriends, but if you're involved with someone in any other branch (or are a guy with a girlfriend in the military), you are more than welcome to join.

Due to previous spamming in the community, your membership into this community must be approved. It was not the initial intention; however, we are involved with men and women who protect and serve our country, and the last thing we want to read is rude, ignorant remarks.

The moderator of the community does check your info on your livejournal, and if there is not anything listed about your soldier, you will not be added to the community. This is a general precaution, so please do not take it personally.

Basic rules:
1. Be nice.
2. Do not post specifics of your significant other's whereabouts. Keep them safe. :)
3. No spamming (there are promotion communities available; join them!).
4. Always abide by the OPSEC guidelines.
