Eh...
I'll say something just because this community just seems so empty now...
I'm probably getting the new Mountain Goats CD today (The Sunset Tree); I've heard it's awesome, so that's always good :)
Who wishes Jeff Mangum would come back from the abyss and start Neutral Milk Hotel back up again? *waves hand around emphatically*
And if you guys are looking for any music to listen to, my friend recommended Castledoor to me the other day (check them out here... I couldn't find them anywhere else than MS and purevolume)... and I must say, I really like them. Addictive stuff. I started listening to The Honorary Title a few months back as well, and they're pretty good too.
Those of you wanting something eclectic and out of the U.S.... Ma Melodie by M, and Les Antipodes by Chateau Flight (feat. Bertrand Burgalat) are great French songs. Really relaxing to listen to. It's hard to find mp3s, especially of the M one, so if you want to check them out, you'll have to go to Yabla, click the videos section, and scroll down till you find the music videos. Don't recommend that though if you don't have DSL or cable obviously. They even have translations running on the bottom of the screen :)
Anyway, that's enough of my rambling, because probably no one will read this anyway.

So here's my update amidst the deadness that this community has fallen into.
Pedro the Lion is coming to Fort Worth on January 21 (Earlimart's opening). When I found out I was so excited, but then my parents said they don't want to drive me. :( So I'm hoping my friend's parents will be more willing to take my friends and me. Because I want to see Pedro live more than anything. If I had a car, I would drive myself, dangit, but I don't. I don't get one till this summer :(
In October I saw Bright Eyes. Conor was quite lovely, of course, but wasted off his hott little ass. M. Ward was good too, but Jim James was a bit too... folksy for me.
If any of you kids are low on things to listen to, I highly recommend The Poison by Pedro the Lion as well as Now it's On by Grandaddy and Existentialism on Prom Night by Straylight Run. Unless you already have those of course.
Anywho, that's all I suppose. OH I was wondering... is there anyone older than 16 here? I feel like everyone applying is younger than me, haha. Come on, sixteen and older people! Help! :P

I am SO going to see Bright Eyes at the Ridglea Theater on October 8.
I'm soooooo excited.
I will get to experience the orgasmicness of Bright Eyes in person. With my best friends. And we shall scream dirty phrases at him and sing along with every song.
I just realized that Conor Oberst is like my one-man emo boyband obsession. That is sad. But I do not care one bit. His music and lyrics are gorgeous, and so is heeeee.
Anyone else going to see Conor sometime within the next few months?
