Hey folks! I am on the lookout for a rather hard-to-find piece of MCR memorabilia, and I'm hoping you all can help me out.
On May 9, 2008, I was fortunate enough to see MCR at Madison Square Garden, on their last performance of the Black Parade tour. There was a limited edition shirt being sold at that concert, and as you could imagine, it sold out before the show even started (I got to watch helplessly from the endless merch booth line as the last shirt was pulled down from the wall, haha). I have been scouring the internet since 2008, from eBay to LJ communities to niche auction sites, in an attempt to get my hands on this t-shirt. I've only seen it for sale twice - once in 2011 or so and once a couple months ago (I'm still kicking myself for not catching the auction in time). To my dismay, I noticed that Hot Topic has just begun selling a near-identical copy of this t-shirt with the same exact design but minus the words "Madison Square Garden." I'm rather upset by this decision, which is clearly another attempt to cash in on the MCR name now that the band is defunct and the members themselves get no say in the merch being sold, and it also cheapens the experience of those who were there at the show and got to purchase what was previously an exclusive item. It also means that it will be even harder for me to find the actual shirt I'm seeking from now on, so I'm beginning to feel a real sense of urgency.
Here is a photo of the shirt I am looking for. (click to enlarge) I am willing to purchase it in any size and any condition due to its rarity. Cost is a non-issue - name your own price and I will accept, seriously. If you see someone selling this shirt, or own one and are considering parting ways with it, please, please let me know. This tiny piece of memorabilia means a great deal to me, and I promise it'll be worth your while.
I will be looking for this shirt until I manage to get my hands on one - I honestly mean it. I've been searching since 2008 and I'm not gonna call it quits anytime soon. At any point in the future, if you see this post and have the shirt for sale or know someone who does, hit me up and we'll talk turkey. ;)
god i miss mcr so much. they made me dance so much and kept me alive. what am i to do now? what is there? when will they be back? i feel like they'll pull a fall out boy or a blink-182 on us and randomly get back together, maybe in the killjoy time period (props to anyone who knows what i mean by that). i don't know. all we can do now is wait and cherish the past; because, for the time being, this isn't a band, it's an idea.

Does anyone have an iPod download link to a radio take over Ray and Frank did a long time ago? I honestly don't remember what radio station it was, but they played a bunch of songs they liked. I remember Ray played Otis Redding Sitting On The Dock of the Bay. I've been dying to listen to this for a while so please help. Thanks!

My Chemical Romance have said that they may well pursue new side-projects as they come to the end of the touring cycle for their fourth album 'Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys'.
Speaking to Kerrang!, guitarist Frank Iero, who fronts his own project Leathermouth already, has said that he believes the other members of the New Jersey rockers could follow a similar path.
Asked about the prospect of the other members of My Chemical Romance pursuing side-projects, Iero said: "I can see the other guys branching off and doing other things. Gerard [Way] has his writing, and he has plans for that, but he wants to direct too. And Ray [Toro] is such an incredible talent. I'd love to see him get the credit he's due. I can see us branching off, but always coming back to this."
The guitarist also indicated that My Chemical Romance would be recording again soon, adding:
"We're being very creative right now. There are some really bright and creative things going on. At every soundcheck, we're coming up with new pieces of music that could turn into something incredible. So we're hoping to get into the studio soon and really harness that.

So i was hoping i would be able to make it, but it looks like i won't be able to go to the Monday, september 26th stop of the civic tour in houston, TX. I'm hoping someone in or around the san antonio area would like to buy my tickets.

I went to the DTE show in Detroit (Clarkston, really) and Gerard wound up singing Skylines and Turnstiles in honor of 9/11. I got a video of almost the whole thing. Thought you would all like it. Some shit happened last night and before the blogosphere gets all crazy with false statements and ridiculous opinions we want the true story to come from us... But please listen close because this is the only time we are ever going to talk about this. The relationship between My Chemical Romance and Michael Pedicone is over. He was caught red handed stealing from the band and confessed to police after our show last night in Auburn, Washington. We are heartbroken and sick to our stomachs over this entire situation. The band has no intention of pressing charges or taking this matter any further than we have to. We just want him out of our lives. The people who play in this band are a family, and family should not take advantage of each other like he did. We are currently moving forward, and hope to have a new drummer in place for our show in Salt Lake City, Utah. The show must go on.
