Are you irritated by intolerance? Do you you find yourself angered by ignorant and carelessly discriminatory statements, even when they are not necessarily directed towards you?
This is a forum to report racial, sexist, and/or homophobic (and otherwise discriminatory statements) made by other livejournalers in other communities. Yes, there is freedom of speech, and we are upholders of that same liberty by representing the voice of equality in the face of ignorance. Disclaimer: For the record, I feel it's better to educate the maker of an ignorant statement, rather than flame him/her.
This is also a forum to talk about oppression in the media, or to express grief or anger over personal experiences. Basically, anything and anyone having to do with equality is welcomed here.
