• This community is first and foremost about vanity in all its glory.
  
  
• It is however, not for written word but for captured sentiments. In idiots' terms: this is a picture journal. If you want to post poetry, do it somewhere else.
  
  
• Like many of its predecessors, this community encourages its members to post whatever images they think touches the concept of vanity.
  
  
• What makes this community different is that it actually encourages all its members to embrace their vanity. Everyone is beautiful. Everyone should revel in that knowledge.

• The maintainers also ask that posts with multiple or large-scale images make use of the LJ-Cut tag. This is to avoid having this community responsible for breaking peoples' friends pages. Should you need to edit your post, click on the little blue pencil. Moderators cannot edit posts for you.
  
  
• Also, turning off comments is discouraged. You can link your journal and invite people to add you but if you turn comments off on your gloriousvanity posts, they will be deleted and you will be removed from the community.
  
  
• No obscene nudity please. There is a difference between art and tasteless porn. Be conscientious. Repeat offenders and those who tell the moderators that they're just jealous get a swift boot on the ass.
  
  
• Derogatory and flaming remarks in the comments area should be avoided. This is not a rating community.
  
  
• If you post someone else's work, please make sure to give credit where credit is due. If copyright info is not available, a short disclaimer that the posted image is not your original work and/or a link to the site where you got the said image should be included in the post. However, if you post someone else's picture and claim it as yours, you will be quietly removed from the community. You are beautiful, you don't need anyone else's face.
