Seeking New Friends

Notes: I must state to only add me if you are really looking for friends and want friends. I have had issues with this before. People tend to just like me and say I am really nice but then that I am not their friend and this is often knowing a person for several years. I just don't want to go through that again. Nothing personal. It's just too emotional to go through.

About Me

I am 30 years old. I am very talkative and enjoy reading friends journals and writing comments. I can be eccentric at times and I am aware of that. I try to cool things down though when I can. My hobbies include reading, writing, drawing/painting, music , and movies. I also really love to collect things and scrap booking. I mostly fallow in the artsy department. I am admiringly obese and I am trying to work through such things like that. I mostly talk about health and family in my journal. I also Pagan but I don't shove it down people's throughout though. Just letting you be aware of it.

This community is a great idea, and I hope it's not a dying thing. More people should join it. LiveJournal is by far dominated by women (And Russians), and I suppose that makes sense, but at the same time, it would be nice to read more male journals. It feels like on a lot of add me communities all you encounter are women, and it seems like a lot of them are actually not looking for guys to add in the first place. Maybe that's just me. I'll add girls or guys, but I thought this community was a bright idea in the add me community scene.

My name is Shane. I'm 23, a guy, and I live with my girlfriend Iesha, who I met on LiveJournal. I don't really like the term fiancee, but we intend to marry. I am a British-American and she is a Filipino/Jamaican-Canadian. Our babies will rock. We like hardcore music, screamo/emo, anime, JRPGs (like Final Fantasy), and are bettering our lives. I used to do drugs, but now I'm a sober boy and have been for about a year. She used to be a street kid. I got suspended from University after getting drug charges and later laid off from my job. Together, we're straight broke and trying to fix it all. But we're both doing pretty well all things considered, sober, with a roof, and we'll get there.

I've had LiveJournal since 2002, so I'm not going to be ditching out any time soon. Hope to make some new friends. Need new reading material.

I'm a guy, 24, living in Asia. i work. I like fiddling with computers. Im techy. I like gadgets games and all stuff entertaining in multimedia.

I like tv, movies, celebrities. I love to gossip about them and tell them that theyre ugly and beautiful--and trash their clothes

i like talking to people, getting to know them, having fun with them. I talk about almost anything under the sun, I get excited learning new things from people, especially if i dont really know anything about the topic. i just like to hear people out.

i like going to the gym, doing classes and lifting weights...although it would be nice if i had a great bod already—sometimes kickboxing or swimming, but im afraid i can't do too much...i get sick fast.

i like dogs, have a chow chow and a Belgian malignoise and another one that i dont know...but she's white and cuddly

i like music in all different genres, i think asian pop is good, k pop and j pop. But of course R&B, soul, mellow and contemporary music is always the best.

i love food!! i like trying new food whenever i can. I think if i was a hunter, I'd probably hunt for exotic and fresh food.

i write, blog and all that good stuff that comes out with words. trying to have a career in writing.

i like smart people, cause it would always be nice to come across people who have different points of view, argue with them nicely and really express yourself in different thoughts.

i like not so smart people but know their worth.

i hate dumb people who talk a lot and brag, well they're kinda annoying

i hate people who act differently than who they are. I just don't like pretenders.

i hate people who treat people wrongfully( who doesnt?)

i hate people who think beauty is everything

Greetings good people of LJ. Does anyone actually come back and read these posts after they've done their own advertising? Here's hoping.

As predicted, I'm new to LJ and looking for a panel of wise dating advisories for my documented attempts at forging some kind of meaningful relationship with a member of the opposite sex.

If you're over 18 (dating advice from a 14 year old is probably only going to make me feel more pathetic).

Of course advice is optional, I really just need some kind of audience - there's no hilarity in making an arse out of yourself without a jeering throng nearby.

I'm Paul, I'm a twenty-two year old student from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Recently retired professional musician (ha). I went to college for a few years and dropped out upon getting signed. Got bored with that after a few years, and now I'm an Economics major/Mandarin Chinese minor going to University and working. My main interests are history, music, boxing, economics, and traveling. God do I love traveling.

This journal is new as i've just started blogging again, but I have a lot to say and image i'll be updating a lot.
