Hey, nice day.

Got 3145 words in. Nobbad....

My average word length is STILL four letters per word. I guess I am the original four letter word guy...

It was a good day though. Im proud of 3100, but it probably should have been a 6000 word day, if I hadnt been lazy...

Oh well...

Hope everyone is doing fine....

Over on Image2003nanowrimo and Imagenanowrimobesides the cacaphony of bitching and moaning, some people are posting word counts of 5000 for the first day. 1300 seems to be a nice average number.

I'm done for the day, with the one burst of creativity.

Day one is in the can.

At 1385 it is a bit short. But it is only 330pm here. So I can start Chap 2. I figured that I would end at a natural break point. Then I like to be a lil hungry for tomorrow... get it germinating...

Good luck everyone.... I know you can do better than 1385....

Jerry's Kabbalah U-Turn

by Jeremy Last - Oct 23

Former supermodel Jerry Hall has turned her back on kabbalah after
being asked by its leaders to persuade her friends to donate money to
the cause.

In a television documentary entitled Jerry's Gurus, to be screened on
BBC3 next month, Hall reveals she has decided to halt weekly kabbalah
meetings held at her Richmond home.

Hall said: "They always talked about giving in order to receive but I
didn't realise that to go through their door of miracles you had to
give 10 per cent of your income. I felt it was unfair to have everyone
come to my house and feel obliged. It was a lovely experience and we
were very sad when it ended."

Hall said she has given "generous donations" to the organisation
running the London kaballah centre. She said: "We all thought it was a
very good cause because it was bringing light to people."

Hall is just one of a multitude of celebrity supporters of the centre
which include pop icon Madonna who reportedly paid for a new £3.65m
building in central London.

Todd: On another note...I randomly picked from my deck of cards sent to me by my dear friend and my name of God is "yud lamed yud" Which I guess means "Recapturing the sparks" I am not sure exactly why it was chosen for me but my guess is I really do need to recapture and replenish my soul and the energy of the light and it seems most appropriate.

From: rosecg
Date: September 25th, 2003 - 04:29 pm
Actually "yud lamed yud" (long U and the second word has two or three syllables if pronounced right) is an old Missouri Ozark saying, it refers to the hobbling of donkeys from stepping on nails, left by the railroad workers bringing the tracks into the back country. It went on to be a lament for flat tires, and mishaps in general, picking up popularity in the twenties, peaking in the thirties.

It found it's way into the Jewish community during the war, (first) and is actually first spoken as part of the version of the "Kabbalah" that Berger pushes has in 1959, when Darla Maybeery stepped on Feivel Gruberger's feet.

Part of mauled magician's skull "removed"
Thu 16 October, 2003 21:49 BST

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - About a quarter of the skull of animal trainer and magician Roy Horn, who was mauled by a tiger two weeks ago, has been removed to reduce pressure on his brain, the Las Vegas Review-Journal says.

The paper, quoting Lonnie Hammargren, a neurosurgeon and former lieutenant governor of Nevada, also reported that Horn, half of the famous "Siegfried & Roy" act, was paralysed on the left side of his body after suffering a stroke from the mauling.

Hammargren told the paper that part of Horn's skull had been placed in a pouch in his abdomen to preserve it until the brain swelling receded and it could be put back.
