The newsboys has always been sort of a confusing band to me. the band members were constantly changing. I think they actually produced about 3 or 4 albums in a row where it had a set 5 members. It is funny looking at the picture on the back of their first album. and how they were just teenagers! Peter Furler after all these years was the only original member of the newsboys to not leave. He was the lead singer, the front man. And now I just found out that he is finally leaving. He has chosen Michael Tait to replace him. I'm sorry, Michael Tait?? As the new lead singer, I will never be able to hear him without thinking of dc Talk. I think Peter's voice was so unique and he really made the band. that awesome accent he had that even came out when he was singing.. it's just not going to be the same. I think i'm going to stop listening now. I was a huge fan, and while I admit I haven't been too loyal the past 4 or 5 years, but I still love them, but it's just not going to be the same. I understand this is God's calling, and that the message will still be the same, but no original members left, and michael tait being the lead singers. This isn't newsboys. It's something completely different. I'm kinda sad. I really liked Peter. And to not hear any new newsboys songs without him singing it just wierd... I was sorta sad when Phil Joel left cuz he was also a lead singer, but not as important as Peter was. I wish Peter the best in his future endeavors and I also with the band all the best, I just don't think I'll be a listener anymore. *sigh*

1. She is going back to music which sounds more like her older work (or so it seems).

2. It's NOT a concept album!! (I think) Finally. After four concept albums in a row, it was really starting to get old.

3. An accompanying dvd with "visualettes" you watch while listening to the album!!

so I ate about 3000 calories on tuesday, and 3000 calories yesterday and I weighed myself this morning and i weighed... 114!!!! I normally am between 109 - 113. but never 114! so this MIGHT be working. I'm going to continue to eat 3000 calories and try to increase it even until I can definately tell that I am gaining. I might even start to sneak in extra calories by dipping bread in olive oil and stuff like that. It's not fun, but if it works, I'll do it. It's 12:18 and so far i've eaten 1590. i'm only half way there. i'll have to make sure i eat some more before i leave work and eat a snack before bed and drink a couple glasses of milk. Maybe i'll make chocolate milk. it tastes better and i get even more calories. :-)

So I'm participating in Greg and Lisa's American Idol Pool this season. It's $20 a person and there's 19 participants. If I win the pool I get $380!!! Woo!!! The way it works is we watch the performance show and you have to vote who you think will make it to the top 12. You have to submit your votes by 7:59pm the night of the results show or you get a strike. The way you vote is you have to pick one definite and 2 other singers who you think will make it. (because the first 3 weeks only 3 singers from each show will move on this is extra hard.) The person you pick as your definite HAS to move on or you get a strike. Not only does that person have to make it, but one of your other picks ALSO have to make it. Or you get a strike. So basically your definite and one of your other picks both have to make it or you get a strike. If you get two strikes you lose and you're out. Luckily my definite and one of my other picks made it last night. But I was definitely nervous watching the results show. After they have the top 12, you have to vote for one person who you think will move on. If the person you vote for gets kicked off, you get a strike. And you can only vote for each person once. So the ideal situation is the person you vote for stays, but gets kicked off the following week. So it's going to be interesting. I hope I win!
