 potterclippings is seeking submissions!
potterclippings is a new community dedicated to the collecting and archiving of Harry Potter related ephemera. We are primarily interested in newspaper and magazine articles, but also include movie ticket stubs, pamphlets, bookmarks and postcards in the archive.
Do you have a collection of Harry Potter articles and ephemera? We accept submissions of scans and GOOD QUALITY photos to add to the archive. Sorry, but we DO NOT accept fan art, fic, icons, advertisements or other graphics in this community.

If you are not familiar with podfics, think audio books only fanfic and free! Please consider giving it a try! It's easy and a whole lot of fun. There are also plenty of donated fics for you to check out and use for recording if you don't have an HP winter-themed story. Plenty of them are quite short, if you just want to stick your toe in and test the waters.

LISTEN UP!! We need some Harry Potter fans who love kittens to take in 2 orange furbabies. They were named Fred & George. They're both orange and have a stripe pattern. What is awesome is that they were born on April 1st (I KID YOU NOT)..the same day as Fred & George in the series..we obviously know this. :) I don't have a photo yet but trust me, they're cute. They have been weaned and are litter box trained. They were born to a feral cat but they're domesticated..thank god.
So if you're in Phoenix, Arizona (or surrounding areas) and would love to adopt these beautiful kittens, please send me a PM :)

My friends and I are planning to do a big Wizard March in downtown Chicago. People will be dressed up and acting ridiculous. We are walking from the Bean, to Navy Pier if you know Chicago.
We have tickets reserved for a midnight showing. TICKETS ARE NOT SOLD OUT, all the contact info to get one is on the FB event page.
Some of us also have a couple hotel rooms near the theater so we can either crash or party after. Ask for details!

Hey everyone. :)
I'm making a comprehensive list of every Hogwarts student ever. The point is to eventually make it clear who went to school together, who roomed together, etc.
The list already incorporates every character that there is a birthdate available for, and my main tool has been this website (harrypotter.wikia.com).
But now I've reached a bit of a brick wall, because there are many characters that I don't have birthdates (or even names!) for. Can anybody help me with this?
I am regarding ALL characters; that is, book-canon, film-canon, video-games, spinoff-books, anything OFFICIALLY released.
I am interested mainly in CANON dates, but if there is a commonly used fanon date for any of these characters that I'm not aware of, please let me know that also. :)
Houses would be extremely helpful too, but I appreciate that that's a lot to ask.
