I’m completely obsessed with my new Nintendo DS. Does anyone else have one? How did you get it?
I actually got mine from one of those freeipod type sites, but this one was for gaming systems. They do a thing where as long as you do one offer and get 4 referrals to complete their offers, they send you one in the mail.

Anyways, my question is for anyone who has ever received something from this Gratis Network (the people in charge of this site.) It apparently took my DS only about 2 weeks to arrive in the mail (the normal time is supposed to be about 4.) It took a couple of my friends about 6 weeks though and my cousin had to wait close to 8. Does anyone know if they are just slow because so many people are doing this now? How long did it take you guys to receive one if you did?

IGN has an iterview with Miyamoto, it's full of little and big leaks for possible games. In fact, right at the begining, he shows the interviewers a demo for a DS Trivia game in which the players write down their answers using the touch screen! I think if you truly are a Nintendo fan, you'll want to give it a read.

I clicked on this community after not checking it for months... And looked at the Nintendo Power cover scans that astronomyluna posted... It reminded me of when I started to play games seriously. And when I started buying videogame magazines. I enjoyed them a lot more back then, when games were side scrolling and the strategies helped a lot more.... With the pictures/maps of the entire levels. I think that that's what I miss the most about old times.... How those pictures looked, and the commentary behind them. And for some reason, it was a lot easier to get excited about a game by looking at screenshots and reading impressions than it is now. I don't know if it's just me or if it's that that aspect of gaming is gone now that 3D is here and it is simply harder to portray what a game is like without actually showing more than a static picture of a character in a fully 3D area. Those side scrolling Mega Man and Mario games looked SO GOOD when they showed the entire level in one page... That's not as exciting in 3D, and 2D games are not very impressive anymore.
Maybe I am just discontent with all the games I have played lately... Lately as in after Banjo Tooie, which is the last game I really enjoyed.

Has it really come to this? Yes, I must admit that I am a Nintendork... AND PROUD OF IT! Having owned almost every major Nintendo system (oh why oh why didn't I get that SNES for christmas all those years ago??) I can say that PS2 and X-Box lick dick compared to even the NES, or (do I dare sy it?) Virtual Boy! Lets face it, Nintendo has the best Characters ever! Mario, Samus, Link, something like 386 pokemon, Game & Watch man!

Maybe I can re-kindle a flame.
So how about that Resident Evil 4? I'm dying waiting for it to come out. Ever since the series came to Gamecube, I've been almost slavishly devoted to RE. Too bad it's so far away...
And on a completely unrelated note, Pikmin 2 and Animal Crossing 2 will rock my sox.
Nintendo owns my soul forever.

There was once a man who told me that water was a very interesting commodity. I remember knowning nothing at all as to what he was talking about, but I was pretty sure it had to do with withcraft.
"What are you doing, dear?" called Mrs. Warbright from the kitchen. Mr. Warbright was in his study, smoking a pipe and thinking of times past.
"I'll be right there." replied Mr. Warbright as he stood up from his desk. He sauntered over to the bookcase on the opposite side of the room and held a candle up to read the book spines. Water: The Ultimate Tool For Pleasure was grasped by his old hands, removed from the bookcase and opened. Mr. Warbright had been researching the sexual reactions of water ever since he met that young russian back in 1649. Now, however, he needed answers as just the last night some young women were doing some unauthorized dancing just outside of Salem. Why on earth would they boil water in a cauldron and dance around it nude?
Mr. Warbright knew there had to be some sort of connection. Perhaps water itself is does not serve as an aphrodesiac, but that witchcraft can create the proper effect. Perhaps that too explains the nudity of the young women as clearly they made the water too strong and were aroused, as a result, by beings other than men. Truly something to ponder this was.
In the kitchen there was a fine smell as Mrs. Warbright had placed a finely battered fried chicken on the table. He breathed deeply as he entered,letting his nostrils fill with the fine smell.
"This looks wonderful, Abigail. Simply wonderful," said Mr. Warbright as he sat down at his usual spot at the table. "You are a good wife to me. Pray tell, are we having milk with this fine meal?"
"Water, my dear. We are having water."
Mr. Warbright turned and stared at his wife forcefully. There was something in her voice, something implying just what he feared. His lower lip trembled as he realized what was done. Mrs. Warbright poured some water from a pitcher into a glass that sat before him. He turned his attention to the water and watched its level come nearly to the top of the glass before he made his move.
A swift kick in the stomach knocked the air out of Mrs. Warbright. She doubled over in pain and tried desperately to take in air. Mr. Warbright was now standing over her, he looked at her with cold dark, emotionless eyes. "You can't do this to me, Abigail," was all he could say as though he looked quite neutral in his mood he was suffering deep inside. Then, without a moment's hesitation he unsheathed his samurai sword and brought the blade down upon her neck, decapitating her head from her evil body.
Thus began the Salem Witch Trials.......translated into Japanese and back into English after first also being translated into German.
