Hello everyone,
I'm moving to NYC in June and was wondering, what are the best tattoo parlors? I'm not wanting flash work or a place that is cheap, I want a fantastic quality artist that will do an amazing custom job. The artist I've been going to in Atlanta is Rob at Timeless Tattoo and also at Liberty Tattoo.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi you guys --
Please forgive me if this post is inappropriate on this board -- forgive, and then delete, delete to your heart's content. :-)
I'm a Minneapolis, MN actor/writer/solo performer who wishes she lived in NYC and has many, many fantasies about moving there someday soon. For now, I have an exciting yet fleeting "two performances only!" gig doing my one-woman show within the ARTISTS of TOMORROW FESTIVAL put on by Six Figures Theatre Company, November 20-21st, 2004 in Manhattan. Been craving a raw, gutsy, funny show about everything from organ donation to unexpected lesbian sex? Then you'll wanna see Does This Monologue Make Me Look Fat?. Tons of info behind the cut!!! :-)

To anyone interested, I can get comp tickets to tomorrow night's performance of Russell Simmons' Def Poetry Jam. Show begins at 8pm. It will be about 2 hours long. The Count Basie Theatre is in Red Bank, NJ on Monmouth Street. NJ Transit trains go right into the station just 3 blocks down from our theatre. We're a 70 minute train ride from NYC. If you're driving, we're exit 109 off the GSP.
If you're interested, email me asap TODAY or tomorrow ASAP at ayerves@countbasietheatre.org to let me know if you want seats. You can have as many as you want. Pass this to your friends if they're interested. When you email me, give me your name and how many you want. I'll put them on hold for you @ the will call window, and if you want, give me your email or cell and I'll call to confirm that I have tickets for you. Please come if you can! It's gonna be an awesome show.

Help! I'm in a multi-round flash fiction contest where you get a prompt and three days to write the entry and the current prompt is to write a fantasy. Uh. Okay. I admit it - my sole brush with the fantasy genre is "The Lord of the Rings." Yep. Really. That's all I've ever read.
Did I mention that today is day two of having the prompt? I've got tonight and tomorrow to write. *whimpers*
So, anybody have some pointers on how to even start? It's just not the genre I usually write (or read). ARGH!
Oh, and thanks in advance. *hugs*

'Happy Birthday'
Today is the day like no other, they say One year older, One year wiser Pulling you into a helium-filled room with sagging crepe paper as they plaster on store-bought smiles And bring out a pink cake with rasberry filling and no candles Because we don't want you to get your hopes up, they explain Don't want you to set yourself up for a big disapointment Not on a day this special
Nine years Nine years worth of broken fire trucks and lightweight animals with missing stuffing and deflated balloons Forgotten in a poverty-stricken insane asylum One year older, One year wiser That's what they say Picking at their cuticles underneath the pink tablecloth And staring at you with their crazy glazed eyes and enflamed red mouths Looking ridiculous beneath pointed paper hats Cutting off their circulation with the elastic strap
Make a wish, they chant Make a wish On what? Make a wish on broken dreams, they sneer Blow out flames of lost hope And be sure to smile as you do it So we can add a snapshot to the album
This is insane. This is insane.
Smile!
Bright illuminating stars exploding before your very eyes As you blindly blow our invisible flames Sitting atop invisible candles Representing invisible dreams And their war cry drones on in the background Happy birthday to you,
Happy bithday to you.
