Title: Letting Go on the Open Road Chapter Three: On My Way to the Promised Land Pairing: Duncan/Courtney, with other special guest characters in later chapters Rating: PG-13 Summary: It's been almost a year since the show, and Duncan and Courtney haven't seen each other in person since it wrapped up. Now Duncan has a plan for catching up, if he can just convince her to let him steal a few of her precious summer work weeks. Notes: X-posted to  duncanxcourtney. Previous chapters here. AU from TDA (to change things as little as possible, things mostly remained the same as in canon, except that Courtney was never allowed back into the compitition. Also, if Duncan ends up winning he's either saving his money or was eliminated sooner without her around; either way, he's not touching much of it for the trip.) Also, I've decided that here on livejournal I'll be posting an extended edition of this story. There will be no difference in the story itself, but at the end of the chapter I'll post some pictures and information about the route they're taking. I'll warn you now that I'm no fanartist, but I did throw together a couple of pictures so it wouldn't all be maps and location notes down there.
