Transcending Boundaries Conference Last Call for Pre-Registration!

The Transcending Boundaries Conference (TBC) is for bisexual/pansexual, trans/genderqueer, intersex and polyamorous people and our allies. TBC is for and about those who do not fit into simple categories, and we couldn't be more excited about our 6th upcoming conference!

Friday, November 20th is the Transgender Day of Remembrance, memorializing all those who have been killed due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice. AIDS Project Worcester will host a service at 6:30 pm at the All Saints Church, Irving Street, Worcester, MA. Also, Transcending Boundaries and AIDS Project Worcester will host a Day of Remembrance reception following the vigil at the Hilton Garden Inn, Worcester, MA, with refreshments, from 7 - 10 pm, along with an Open Mic from 9 - 11 pm.

Saturday , November 21st, at both the Hilton and DCU Center, we will kick of the day with some great workshops by by Robyn Ochs, Anita Wagner, Gunner Scott and more. We'll stop to have a great Plenary Luncheon with this year's keynote speaker Tristain Taormino. Then more great workshops in the afternoon! Saturday night will include Peterson Toscano's one person play Transfigurations, selected readings by Cecilia Tan, and Happy Hour Burlesque!

Sunday, November 22nd will be an interfaith service and more workshops at the Hilton.

There are a limited number of meals still available for the Plenary Luncheon, but they are going fast! Pre-registration is strongly recommended. Pricing is $80, $60 for students and low income attendees. You can register at http://www.transcendingboundaries.org/registration/. Registrations will be accepted day-of by cash or check only.

Join us in Worcester, MA this November for the 6th Transcending Boundaries Conference!

On November 20-22, 2009, Transcending Boundaries will hold its sixth conference for bisexual/pansexual, trans/genderqueer, intersex, and polyamorous people and our allies. We are pleased to announce that this year's keynote speaker will be renowned alternative sexualities speaker and educator Tristan Taormino.

This year’s conference will be held at the DCU Center and the Hilton Garden Inn in Worcester, Massachusetts. We’ll take over their conference facilities to foster community, provide safe space, educate ourselves, and overcome societal sex, gender, and sexuality boundaries!

The conference begins with an open mic and Transgender Day of Remembrance reception on Friday evening. We also have workshops planned all day Saturday and Sunday, parties and entertainment on Saturday night, and a keynote luncheon with Tristan Taormino on Saturday. We welcome everyone, from local, regional and national leaders in the bi, trans, intersex and poly communities to newcomers and allies. TBC works hard to make our conference safe, affordable and accessible for all.

Registration information is available online at our website. Early registration ends in less than 48 hours, so don't delay! The rate is $59 dollars for a regular admission, or $39 for students until Sept. 30. This rate includes lunch on Saturday.

Pervertables, or the art of finding mundane items and using them as kinky toys, is every kinkster's favorite hobby. How many times have you been in the dollar store and seen something that made you nudge your partner and snicker? Finding
new things to turn into toys is fun and a great way to expand your bag
of tricks while saving you a bunch of money. Some are so good that
they find their way to vendor tables at the flea at twice the original
price. We'll be showing some of our best finds and encouraging our members and friends to share their favorite tips and tricks with us.

Summer is finally in full swing. The rain has let up long enough for
us to wish it would come back to provide some relief from the
humidity. August is a special month for us this year, because one year
ago, the new Board took office, and we began planning our first events
for September. We hope you all have enjoyed the last year as much as
we have!

On that subject, if you or anyone you know is interested in presenting

Age Play 101

What is age play? Why people do age play? These questions and more
will be answered by our presenter Ella. Ella is a regular participant
in the Boston scene, as both an age player and "traditional" kinkster.
She has also attended events in our area, at both the Waterhole (at
the previous WMPE TNG night) and the more recent Littles Invasion at
the Space in Hartford. She was part of a panel presentation on age
play at the Winter Flea last year, and we are pleased to be able to
bring in someone with both a fresh perspective and experience on this
topic.

August Submissive Discussions will be taking the month of August off.

Welcome to WMPE's Erotic Open Mic Night! Last year, we held the first ever open mic at the Hukelau, and it was quite the success! This month, we're bringing it back, and hope to make this a yearly event. Come share your personal favorite stories, poems and writings. We've all got something to share. Stories that we come back to again and again. Some of them are so dirty you feel sleazy just thinking about them. Others make you laugh every time you read them. Some are classics, some are new, and some you wrote yourself. Our library will be available if you want to read a favorite passage or selection.

At our playnight this month we will have a Bootblacking Expo! Not a workshop or a demo, an expo is a chance for you to come and get some hands-on experience. Come practice your skills, learn how to do a proper spit-shine for the first time, and maybe you'll be lucky enough to get your lips on a hot boot. But if you aren't a bottom, that's ok. Someone has to wear the boots for everyone to practice on, right? And we know all you tops and domly types have at least one pair of boots that need work. So wear them to the Space and get them cleaned properly! Some basic materials will be available, so you don't need to bring anything to learn or practice.

Master R has had a life filled with great BDSM. His earliest memories are
from childhood. In the 1960's, he was a professional submissive in NYC, and
has been an active member of the kink world since then. His book, MASTER:
THE UNAUTHORIZED AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF MASTER R, is a unique piece of literature.
It is a first and foremost an autobiography. It is kinky and exxxtremely
erotic. It covers world history and past and present BDSM. It is written in
America, not English. It is at times hysterically funny and at other times,
remarkably thought provoking. It looks into how R created La Domaine
Esemar, the oldest BDSM training chateau in the world, which he still runs
with the lovely Mistress Collete (who will also be in attendance), and it
talks about the experiences that made him Master. It also has passages on
La Domaine training techniques and philosophy. It even has a few poems!
Miss Adventure, the adult columnist for The Boston Phoenix, reviewing when
the book first was released in June, called MASTER, "The one must read adult
book of the summer." Master R will be glad to take your questions on the
book and on La Domaine at the end of the reading. Autographed copies of
MASTER will be available at the reading or can be ordered in advance through

The next TNG event in Tolland CT at the Waterhole will be March 28th at 4:00pm. The reason for the earlier start time is to help bring in the TNG people who have other Saturday night events they always go to. The classes will run 4pm to 9pm. After that people are free to stay and play or go to other events. For those 21+ who wish to go to the formal auction at The Society that night, we'll have member rate vouchers available. For those who stay, we'll probably go to around midnight depending on how things flow.

We'll have an impact play workshop and a bondage workshop plus a class by Mistress Sly:

Anticipatory Service: The Automatic Response. Come join Mistress Sly as she teaches you the wonderful world of anticipatory service. Discuss the rewards of such service and how to train your bottom to serve in such a manner. Answer a variety of questions involving the most difficult of all services known in BDSM including a) habitual patterns; b) teaching obedience; c) repetition and simplistic orders; d) managing your tasks for your house; e) What happens when you have anticipated well and feel as if you are simply doing the work without getting the dominance? f) self satisfaction vs. needing a pay off; and g) realism vs. fantasy.

Admission price will be food to share and/or $5 donation towards the dungeon space. I'll be providing cold cut sandwiches making supplies for general consumption.

Since we were covered in ice and snow last month, we are going to try this one again!

This month we are pleased and excited to have a presentation from one of our newest members, Belle.

Lady Belle is a switch with 10 years experience in the lifestyle, both as a collared slave and owner of submissives. She enjoys the mental/psychological aspect of BDSM as much as the physical. Mind games are her favorite type of play. She has taught courses in both safety and play in the lifestyle and ran a successful lifestyle womans support group in Las Vegas for several years - The Las Vegas Womans Welcoming Committee.

As Tim Curry once said "A little mind fuck can be nice". Whips and paddles are wonderful, but to get in to someone's head, and play with their mind is one of the most powerful aspects of BDSM. The suspension of belief can create a memorable scene for everyone involved (including the audience!). This class will cover some of the basics in how to set the right mood, ideas to play with, and how to delve in to the most powerful of sexual organs - the mind.

Happy Holidays! This month the Western Mass Power Exchange celebrates its 10 year anniversary so please come out and join us for some festive activities.

December 3, 2008 Chicopee Munch
Hukelau - Chicopee, MA, 6:30-9:30

Join us December 3, 2008 from 6:30-9:30 at the Hukelau in Chicopee to celebrate WMPE's 10th birthday. This month for our Chicopee Munch we will be celebrating our tenth anniversary. We will have a yankee swap, a raffle, and a short presentation on the history of our organization. There will be plenty of time for socializing and celebrating. In addition, we will be collecting canned goods and non-perishable food items for a food donation center. Once again, we will be in the upstairs banquet hall. Remember that this means extra work for our amazing waitress Karen, so please be kind with your gratuities.

Yankee Swap- If you would like to participate in the Yankee swap please bring a wrapped gift with a value of no more than $15. Everyone who brings a gift will draw a number, and pick a gift in order. The first person to choose a gift, will unwrap it, then the second person may either pick another gift or choose to take the gift from number 1. We will continue picking gifts until each gift is unwrapped. More rules will be explained at the munch.

Raffle- We would like to have numerous gifts for this month's raffle, if you have an item that you would like to donate or would be willing to make a homemade toy or gift, please email Aimee at pinksbrat@gmail.com

WMPE's Tenth Anniversary Party

Thanks to everyone who came out an enjoyed our events in October. An extra special thanks to our wonderful presenters, P.E.T.E who showed us the joys of tickling and Jen Williams who gave a very informative presentation on playing with blood. This month we will be exploring some of the many things you can do with your hands. For our Chicopee munch are pleased to have our very own Chuck Fellows tell us more about those toys we carry with us everywhere. Later in the month we will use those skills for a Happy Spanksgiving Playnight.

Remember December is the Western Mass Power Exchange 10th anniversary. It is time to celebrate! We would love to invite everyone who has been a part of WMPE's success to join us at the Chicopee munch for an anniversary. Spread the word!

Blood has long played a part in our cultural and religious history, from drinking it to letting it to creating art with it. In this demo and discussion I will relate my personal history and fascination with blood and share with you my ways of practicing this lifestyle with a focus on safety and consensual play culminating in a piercing and cutting demonstration.

Bio:
Zana (Jennifer Williams) has been involved in the BDSM scene for over 10 years. Her specialty is blood play and she identifies with the Vampire Archetype. She created the blood play workshop as a way to help educate the next generation of kinksters, vampires and Goths in the art of safe blood play and to show the general public that this lifestyle can be lived responsibly.

WMPE Playnights are open to WMPE and Society members and their guests, guests must be sponsored by a member to attend. $15 for members $20 for guests.

Blood Demo This Friday Night

Hey Guys,

This is Jen Williams, your presenter this coming Friday night. A little birdie told me there has been some excitement about the demo and that some people expressed interest in being a pin cushion. I have tried very hard to find someone I know to do this but there are many scheduling conflicts this month so if people are indeed interested I'll consider it.

Here are the rules:

females only (nothing against males, I just jive with females better in this department)
prior experience
non-smoker
no drugs or alcohol use
must be willing to sign a release form

I would want to talk to people beforehand to get a sense of what you are like and if we would work well together and to discuss exactly what we would do. If interested drop me a line here.
