Which type of instruction would you like to request?
For courses in the First Year Writing Program, Intro to Public Speaking, and other related courses.
Subject Specialist Librarians will tailor instruction to fit the learning objectives of your course. We will highlight the databases, resources, and research methods that are most relevant to your discipline and will help your students succeed in their research assignments.
We can help your students get excited about hands-on research using original materials, become familiar with viewing and using primary sources, get to know the range of materials in our Special Collections holdings, and learn about the evolution of their college or discipline at NC State.
Get hands-on instruction support for your students on making effective data visualizations, data cleaning and analysis, and mapping with GIS.
Partner with our team to bring hands-on making, design thinking, and creative problem solving into your course. We offer customizable sessions that introduce maker tools, materials, and low tech prototyping methods that support your learning objectives and help students translate ideas into tangible work.
Your students can play, analyze, and create with games and immersive media in ways that directly support your course learning objectives. Collaborate with our team for customizable sessions that may include guided surveys of relevant game and virtual reality (VR) experiences plus hands-on prototyping and digital making.
Inspire students and enhance digital literacy and multimedia storytelling skills through podcast, video, and other media making assignments with planning, technology, and Libraries studio spaces support.
Collaborate with us to showcase your students' course projects in the library, and/or challenge your students to think critically about possible futures.
